We understand that you're seeking peace of mind and we're here to pray and offer guidance in this situation. Firstly, it's important to note that peace can only be found through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It's encouraging to see that you've addressed your prayer to Our Lord Jesus Christ. As it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. In Acts 4:12 WEB it says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In John 14:27 WEB, Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." The peace that Jesus gives is not like the peace the world offers, which is often temporary and circumstantial. The peace of God is eternal and constant, even in the midst of trials.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who is seeking peace of mind. We ask that You grant them Your peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide them through whatever is causing their distress, and help them to keep their minds stayed on You.
In Your precious name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.
In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, the Apostle Paul encourages us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We encourage you to turn to Jesus in prayer, laying all your anxieties and concerns at His feet. Trust in Him, and He will grant you His peace. Also, be sure to study His word daily as this is one of the ways to hear God and have direct communication with Him. If there are any sins in your life that you are holding onto then confess them to God and repent of them. We are called to live holy lives in Christ Jesus. If you are unsure what this means and truly want to experience the peace of God, then seek to know Jesus daily. If you are fornicating, this is sex before marriage, or with someone who is not your spouse, then repent of this and seek to marry if you are able and it is wise. If you are a committed believer in Jesus Christ, then seek to also fellowship with other believers. It is important that you marry another believer in Jesus Christ. If you are struggling with homosexuality or same sex attraction or any other sin, then repent of it, and seek Jesus Christ's forgiveness and cleansing. He will give you a new heart and new desires if you trust in Him.
