We want to thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer over this painful situation with your mentor and your church.
We have continued to lift you up before the Lord, that He would protect your peace and your well being as you have stepped away for a time, and that He would guard your confidence in Him and in Jesus when you have felt condescension and belittlement instead of encouragement. We have prayed that God would make clear the difference between human will masked as His will and His true will for your life, and that He would convict and bring repentance where there has been inappropriate interference and pressure to abandon the profession God has given you to work in food and beverage or as a plumber. We have asked the Lord to provide for your livelihood and to honor your desire to earn a living and to start a family, which is a gift from Him, and that He would not allow a false idea of humility that leads to humiliation and reductionism to steal what He has entrusted to you.
We join you in remembering that each day has enough trouble of its own as taught in Matthew 6:34, that marriage is to be honored and that God creates good things to be received with thanksgiving as seen in 1 Timothy 4:1, and that the Lord calls His servants to be faithful with what He has entrusted to them rather than to hide their talent out of fear as in Matthew 25:14. We pray in Jesus Name that the Lord would bring correction where it is needed, that your mentor would come to true repentance if he has not trusted God fully, that your heart would remain guarded from discouragement while you have already shown forgiveness, and that the Lord would rectify these matters so that you can return to fellowship with joy and peace. We pray that you will hear the Lord's encouragement to continue in the calling He has placed on your life.
