All these are from PAP one. We hear your deep frustration and concern for your nation, ###, and we stand with you in prayer before the throne of God. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that all authority is established by God (Romans 13:1), and we are called to pray for those in leadership, that they may govern with wisdom, justice, and righteousness. Father, we lift up the leaders of ###, grant them discernment, humility, and a heart to serve the people with integrity. May they seek Your wisdom above all else, for "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10).

We also recognize the pain and disillusionment you feel when those in power fall short of godly leadership. The Bible warns us that "when the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan" (Proverbs 29:2). It is right to hold leaders accountable, but we must do so with a spirit of prayer and righteousness, not bitterness or division. Father, we ask that You expose corruption, bring justice where it is needed, and raise up leaders who will govern with truth and compassion.

We rebuke the spirit of strife and division that seeks to tear nations apart. The enemy would love nothing more than to see God’s people divided, angry, and without hope. But we declare that ### is not forsaken, God has a plan and purpose for this nation. We pray for unity among believers, that they may stand together in faith, prayer, and godly action. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14).

We also urge you to examine your own heart in this matter. Are you seeking God’s will above political outcomes? Are you praying for your leaders, even when they disappoint you? Jesus calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we ignore wrongdoing, but we must respond in a way that honors God. Father, soften hearts, including our own, to respond with grace and truth.

Lastly, we must address the importance of placing our ultimate hope in Christ, not in any political party or leader. Governments will rise and fall, but God’s kingdom is eternal. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. He is the only one who can bring true peace, justice, and salvation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Without Christ, we are lost, but in Him, we find hope that transcends any earthly circumstance.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for ###. We ask for Your mercy and wisdom to rest upon its leaders. Expose corruption, bring justice, and raise up godly men and women to lead with integrity. Heal the divisions in the land and turn the hearts of the people back to You. We pray for those who are frustrated and disillusioned, may they find their hope in You alone. Soften hearts to seek Your will above all else. It’s easy to hear the frustration and genuine concern for ### in your words. When things we care about deeply feel threatened, our home, our community, our sense of who we are as a nation, anger can rush in fast. We’ve seen many people wrestling with that same kind of heat, and it can be helpful to understand that anger is very often a secondary emotion. It usually rises out of something else underneath: maybe a fear of being unheard or overlooked, maybe the hurt of watching a place you love change in ways that don’t feel right, or the frustration of blocked hopes. Naming those deeper feelings can give us a better place to start, even before we figure out what to do next.

That doesn’t mean the anger isn’t real or understandable, but when we let it sit as anger alone it tends to burn us up more than anything else. Sometimes the most steady next step is simply bringing all of it, the disappointment, the sense of loss, the very real concerns about leadership and direction, honestly to God, who isn’t startled by strong language or confused hearts. He invites us to pour it all out and then begin to listen for what he wants to grow in us and through us for the good of the place we live. That might lead to thoughtful, constructive civic involvement or simply a settled peace that he remains on the throne regardless of which party holds office.

We can also choose to turn our energy toward praying for our nation and its leaders, however imperfect, because even they are in need of wisdom and a just heart.

Lord, we lift up this frustrated and concerned spirit to you. You know every detail of what weighs so heavily right now. Grant a calm and clear mind, and meet whatever hurt or fear sits underneath the anger. Give wisdom to all who lead ###, and raise up voices and hands to work for justice and true flourishing. And guard our hearts from being consumed by bitterness, so we might walk in steady trust of your goodness. In Jesus’ name.

Your words reveal a heart deeply troubled by the doings of men in authority, and a spirit stirred to indignation at what seems folly and betrayal. Yet take heed that this righteous anger does not become a root of bitterness, defiling many. The failings of rulers are as old as the human heart; what else can we expect from fallen men unless grace reigns? But remember, the Lord is not dethroned. He sits in the heavens, and His government is upon the shoulder of the Sun of Righteousness. Trust in Him, and commit your way unto the Lord, He shall bring it to pass, for the help of man is vain.

You are calling for prayer, and that is well, but consider carefully what you are asking. Do you pray only that your adversaries be cast down? That is too small a petition. Rather, let your concern for souls be worked in you by the Holy Spirit. You name these men, do you pray for them by name, that they might be saved? The apostle Paul carried his own nation on his heart with great heaviness and continual sorrow, though they persecuted him. His generous retaliation was to pray for them. Can you do the same for those you now despise? If you cannot pray for anything else, surely you can, you must, you shall pray for the Lord Jesus to be glorified even in the hearts of those rulers! Let us pray them into prayer, until they at last cry to God for themselves.

Your complaint touches on corruption and unworthiness. True, sin is a foul thing, and justice must be done. But then come and lay your soul beneath Christ’s divine influence. If you are guilty, come and rest in His atonement; if you are unrighteous, take His righteousness. The Lord will never leave you until your deformity is washed away, and His perfect righteousness is yours. When you see the beam in your own eye removed, you will see more clearly to plead with mercy for those who yet walk in darkness. Prayer can unlock Mercy’s door for others as well as for ourselves.

Political machinations and the casting of votes will not build the kingdom of heaven. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. Instead, be prayerful for everything, and careful for nothing. If your land has become a place of desolation in your eyes, then follow Daniel, who identified with his people, confessed their sins, and pleaded for God’s cause. Ask, and have it! Come before your God with all the rags of your sinfulness and conscious ill-desert, and plead the blood that speaks better things. He will make you to lie down in green pastures even when wolves prowl.

Above all, pray for Christ’s mystical body, the Church, for in praying for the Church we pray for Christ Himself. He is still struggling with the hosts of darkness in His Church. Oh, for His heavenly presence in this day of blasphemy and rebuke! Lay hold of this power in prayer, and may the Divine Spirit help these poor souls, including those you have named, to look upon Him whom they have pierced, and mourn, and find life in His name. Begin the everlasting song here below, for He is Lord and God, and to the uttermost ages He shall reign.

You speak of untrustworthy rulers and a land laid waste, and your heart is in turmoil over the things you see. But turn your eyes for a moment from the shifting stage of human government and consider what your own homilies have long declared. No kingdom of this world, no minister, no parliament can give you the peace for which you truly hunger. The King of Righteousness, our Lord Jesus Christ, alone is King of Peace, and He has made peace for things in heaven and things on earth. What man is King of Righteousness and of Peace? None, save only our Lord Jesus Christ.

You have set before yourself a table full of bitterness and envy, a meal of wrath and sorrow. There is another table, one most sweet and without cost, delivered from care, where no turmoil of soul dwells. Why do you fix your gaze so entirely upon the failings of men in power as though your hope depended upon them? Were you not once liable for countless sins, in despair, under sentence? What saved you then? It was your hoping in God alone. If that hope saved you when you had nothing else to bring, will it now betray you because human rulers prove foolish or corrupt?

We were saved by hope. But hope that is seen is not hope; for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for? If you demand to have everything set right in this passing age, you have lost the very gift by which you became bright. The unshakable hope set before us is not the tenure of a particular party or the wisdom of a minister, but the high priesthood of Christ, who has entered within the veil and by whom we draw near to God. Fix your heart there, and the clamor of politics will lose its power to trouble you. Pray, yes, pray fervently. But pray not merely for the removal of men from office. Pray that you and all who govern may seek the peace that comes from above, the peace Christ left with us, His own peace. Receive that peace with alacrity in your heart before all else, and you will find that no earthly ruler can take it from you.

You are clearly carrying a heavy burden over what you see happening in the nation. When leadership seems foolish or self-serving, it is easy for the heart to become filled with frustration and even contempt. But I want to gently encourage you to step back and consider what prayer truly is, because the kind of prayer that moves heaven does not begin by rehearsing our political grievances before God. It begins by recognizing who He is.

True prayer rests on relationship. Jesus taught us to pray “our Father.” That is where prayer finds its footing. If we have come to God through His Son, we can pour out our hearts, but we come as children who trust a Father’s wisdom rather than as activists trying to enlist Him for our cause. Prayer is not a tool for making our wishes reality. Its entire design is to accomplish God’s will on earth. So before asking anything about a government or a minister, the first and wisest prayer any of us can offer is simply this: “Lord, have Your way in this nation. Do what You have been wanting to do. Your kingdom come, Your will be done.”

The Scriptures are clear that all authority is ultimately established by God, and the purpose of government is to preserve what is good and restrain evil. When leaders abandon that role, they bring oppression, and that is grievous. But the answer God gives His people is not first to campaign for their ouster. It is to pray for them. Difficult as it may be, we are told to pray for those who are in high positions, so that we may live quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness. Underneath your anger, I hear a genuine longing for righteous rule. That is a longing God Himself planted in the human heart. Pour it out to Him, but leave the outcomes to His righteous judgment.

Beware of letting your tongue run ahead of your prayer. The righteous man studies before he answers, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil. When we speak cynically and label people as fools, even if their actions are indeed foolish, we risk souring our own heart and grieving the Spirit. God’s justice is righteous; He will deal with every hidden deed. But we must be careful that our desire for justice does not become a bitter root that defiles us. Mercy triumphs over judgment. If you are God’s child, come to Him with clean hands: confess the resentment, trade it for mercy, and ask Him to work out His complete, perfect will in this land and in your life.

Prayer opens a door for God to move without violating the will of anyone. So rather than telling God how to clean house, ask Him to act for His own name’s sake. Pray that He would raise up leaders who rule with integrity, who regard the weak, and who judge righteously. Pray that the righteous in the city would thrive and that their voice would be heard. And then, let your prayer end with praise, confident that He has heard. The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous. So center yourself on your relationship with Him, let your requests flow from His purposes, and then rest. The nations are but a drop in the bucket before our God. He is able to sustain you and to accomplish His good pleasure, no matter who sits in high office.
