Good and Faithful Servant
The government elected by locals in first election , imposed harsh policies on the pioneer generation who stood united and made sacrifices for the progress of this country. There were about a mill registered citizens who lived with loyalty and tolerance, but were betrayed. The government restricted family life through harsh measure such as two child policies, forcing many to live childless and socially isolating them. At the same time, new foreigners were imported and granted citizenship, which reshaped the country's demographic structure. Today, as we extend Father's day greetings to the people, let us not forget the painful history of those pioneers who build our country with sacrifice. The government has engineered a social environment that suppresses birth rates while opening the doors for foreigners to take up citizenship. In doing so, it had denies countless citizens the fundamental rights to build families, to raise children, and to live with dignity. And yet with striking irony. It extends a cheerful greeting "Happy Father's Day" to the very people whose future it has been undermined. It has successfully succeeded in reducing locals birth rate, and now it is playing a hypocritical game of pretending to encourage birth rates. The government blames citizens for declining fertility rate without addressing the real cause, ignoring that its own past policies created conditions that discouraged family growth. And kept importing foreigners to boost the population rate making it a globalized city without Singaporeans. Or even if there is locals the employers will make it by giving excuses saying that the locals had failed the probation or not long hours without rest because they are locals and so that they can import the foreigners to replace the locals to work and the government is using excuses saying that locals don't want to work where they are not given the chance to work.

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words as you reflect on the struggles of the pioneer generation and the challenges facing families today. The policies you describe, restrictions on family life, demographic shifts, and the suppression of birth rates, are indeed grievous when viewed through the lens of God’s design for society. Scripture tells us that children are a heritage from the Lord, a reward, and the fruit of the womb is His blessing (Psalm 127:3-5). To hinder the formation of families or to undermine the dignity of those who long to raise children is to work against God’s good purposes.

We also recognize the injustice of policies that favor foreign labor over local citizens, creating an environment where employers and governments may disregard the well-being of their own people. The Bible calls us to seek justice, to defend the oppressed, and to care for the vulnerable (Isaiah 1:17, Proverbs 31:8-9). When leaders enact policies that harm their own citizens, whether through coercion, neglect, or manipulation, it is a violation of the trust placed in them by God. The Lord holds rulers accountable for how they govern, for He has established authority to promote good, not to suppress or exploit (Romans 13:1-4).

Father’s Day is indeed a bittersweet reminder for many who have been denied the joy of fatherhood or who feel their legacy has been erased by forces beyond their control. Yet we must also remember that God sees every tear, hears every cry, and will not forget the sacrifices of those who built this nation with their own hands. He is the defender of the fatherless and the widow, and He promises to lift up those who are bowed down (Psalm 146:9). We take comfort in knowing that no government or policy can ultimately thwart His plans for His people.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the pain of those who have been betrayed by the very systems meant to protect them. Lord, You see the suffering of the pioneer generation, those who labored, sacrificed, and built this nation with loyalty and hope, only to be met with policies that restricted their families and diminished their dignity. We ask for Your healing to flow over their wounds, for Your justice to prevail where there has been injustice, and for Your comfort to surround those who feel forgotten.

Father, we pray for the families who were forced to live without the blessing of children, for those who were isolated and marginalized by harsh measures. You are the God who sets the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6), and we ask that You restore what has been lost. Give wisdom to those in authority, that they may govern with righteousness and compassion, not with coercion or manipulation. Expose the hypocrisy of policies that claim to encourage family life while undermining it, and let truth prevail in every corner of society.

Lord, we also pray for the younger generations who now face the consequences of these past decisions. May they not be discouraged, but instead find their hope in You. Raise up godly leaders who will champion the cause of families, defend the rights of citizens, and honor the sacrifices of those who came before. Help employers to act with integrity, valuing local workers as You value them, and give strength to those who have been unfairly displaced.

Above all, Father, we ask that Your will be done in this nation. Let Your kingdom come, and let Your people be restored. May the cry of the oppressed reach Your ears, and may You move in power to bring redemption, healing, and renewal. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who reigns over all earthly authorities and who will one day make all things right. Amen.

To those reading this, we encourage you not to lose heart. The God we serve is greater than any government or policy, and His plans for His people cannot be thwarted. If you have been personally affected by these injustices, we urge you to bring your pain to the Lord, who cares deeply for you. Seek His wisdom in how to respond, whether through prayer, advocacy, or simply trusting Him with your future. And if you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, we invite you to consider the hope He offers. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we find true justice, peace, and restoration.

We hear the weight of grief in your words, the sense of betrayal, the ache of seeing the sacrifices of a pioneer generation diminished by policies that have shaped family life and community in ways that feel deeply unjust. It is painful to watch a society you helped build take a direction that feels so disconnected from the sacrifices and loyalty once offered. And when a holiday like Father’s Day arrives, it can sting all the more, holding up a picture of what has been made so difficult for many to live out.

We don’t overlook that sorrow. And while we don’t know all the complexities, we can sit with you in this lament. You are not wrong to want the dignity of the builders honored, the right to family life protected, and the stories of those who gave so much not to be erased. God sees every unseen sacrifice, every quiet fidelity, every ache for children and legacy. He is not indifferent, and He is not mocked by hollow celebration. In His time, He brings what is crooked straight.

In the meantime, we would simply encourage you to not let resentment be the final word. That is a heavy load that can consume your own heart. Perhaps you could find a way to honor the generation you speak of, record their stories, gather a few who remember, share gratitude for what they gave. That act of remembering can be a quiet act of defiance against a culture that forgets, and a healing balm for those who feel invisible.

Let us pray with you:

Father, You are the defender of the forgotten and the one who catches every tear. We bring before You the deep hurt of this writer and the community they represent, the frustration over policies that have shrunk families and displaced the very people who built their nation. We ask for Your comfort to soak into weary hearts. We pray for those leaders who hold authority: grant them wisdom, integrity, and a genuine care for the dignity and future of all their citizens. We lift up the pioneer generation, may they know their worth is not erased by time or demographic shifts. Strengthen them with hope that is anchored in You, and give them tangible ways to see goodness even now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Happy Father’s Day? The words land like a stone on an open wound. You have watched the slow, grinding work of betrayal, policies that squeezed the life out of the family, that took from a loyal people the hope of children and left them alone, while the gates swung wide for others. And now, with a kind of ghastly cheerfulness, the same voice wishes you well. I will not pretend that this does not hurt. It does. It is a mockery dressed in politeness, and your heart knows it.

The Lord Jesus knows that wound too. He was not hunted down by an open enemy, but handed over by one who had eaten at His table, one whose words were softer than oil but in whose heart was a drawn sword. The kiss of betrayal came before the cross. So your grief is not strange to Him. He drinks the bitter cup with you, the one who trusted and was broken by it.

But I want to speak to you of something deeper, because your loss is more than political. It is personal. A man’s home, his children, the sound of little feet, these are gifts that go to the marrow of life. When the door is shut on them, the silence in the house can seem heavier than any noise. Think of Abraham, who climbed the hill with his son, his only son, and with whom no gold on earth could compare. The knife was lifted, and his heart was torn. Yet God did not spare His own Son either, but gave Him up for us all. He knows the cost of love. He is not far off from your childless ache. He is the Father who gave His Fatherhood away so that you might become His child. In Jesus, there is no barrenness. His family is gathered from every nation, and their inheritance will never be taken.

You brought your complaint honestly, and God has never asked for honey, only for salt. Not a forced sweetness that covers over the rot, but the clean, sharp honesty that trusts Him anyway. Bring Him your salty tears. He can take them. The salt of your grief is not an offense to Him; it is an offering. The world may smile and say “Happy Father’s Day” while it empties the cities of their sons, but the God of truth does not deal in hollow greetings. He marks the sparrow’s fall, and He numbers the lonely cups of sorrow.

And here is your steadying hope: the great wrong was already done on Calvary, and the great right was done there too. Once for all, Jesus offered Himself. The betrayal, the loss, the mocking of the crowd, it was all gathered up and swallowed by love. He is not going to die again; the price is paid. The government of men shifts like sand, but the Kingdom of our Lord stands. Your name is written in a register that no policy can erase. When the powers of this world play their hypocritical games, remember that you answer to a higher throne. There is a Father who does not lie, who does not take away the gift of life, and who has prepared a city for His pioneers of faith.

Let me pray with you.

Lord Jesus, You were betrayed and You are the true Friend. Draw near to this dear soul who feels the sharp edge of treachery and the quiet grief of a home unbuilt. You are the Father of the fatherless and the keeper of all who are cast down. When the world’s greetings ring empty, fill his ears with Your own voice, which calls him by name. Lift his eyes above the changing policies of this age, and fix them on the eternal household where there is no sorrow and no good thing is withheld. And as he walks through this land, give him the comfort of Your presence until that day when You make all things new. In Your precious name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer request and have continued to lift this heavy burden before the Lord, standing in agreement with you for justice, healing, and restoration. It grieves us to see the pain of those who sacrificed so much for their nation only to face policies that have reshaped their homeland in ways that feel like betrayal. We have prayed for the pioneer generation—those who built this country with loyalty and endurance—asking God to comfort them, honor their contributions, and bring truth to light.

We have also interceded for the families affected by these policies, asking the Lord to mend what has been broken, to restore dignity, and to open doors for genuine flourishing. Father, we ask that You expose the injustices that have been done and bring about repentance, reconciliation, and wise leadership that truly serves the people. We pray against division, against the exploitation of workers, and against policies that undermine the foundations of family and community.

If You, Lord, have already moved in response to these prayers—whether through changed hearts, shifted policies, or renewed hope—we ask that You reveal it and give cause for praise. If the battle is still ongoing, we commit to standing with you in persistent prayer, trusting that God hears the cries of His people and will act in His perfect timing.

May the Lord bless you with His peace as you continue to seek Him, and may He bring healing to the land and its people. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus.
