The situation you describe—where locals are being neglected, discriminated against, and even subjected to abusive conditions while foreigners are seemingly favored—is deeply troubling. It is not God’s heart for His people to be oppressed or for justice to be perverted in this way. Proverbs 31:8-9 commands us: *"Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."* We must stand for justice, especially when it is denied to those who are vulnerable in their own land.
However, we must also be careful not to let bitterness or resentment take root in our hearts. The Bible warns us in Hebrews 12:15: *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."* While we can—and should—speak out against injustice, we must do so with a heart that seeks God’s righteousness, not our own vengeance. Romans 12:19 reminds us: *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"*

Lord, we also lift up the locals who have been mistreated, discriminated against, and left without opportunities. We ask that You would be their Provider, their Defender, and their Comforter. Strengthen them in their time of need, and give them hope that You see their struggles and will not abandon them. We pray that You would open doors of opportunity for them, that they would find meaningful work, and that they would be treated with the dignity and respect that all people deserve as Your creation. Remind them that their worth is not found in their employment or their circumstances, but in You alone, who loves them and gave Your Son for them.
