Good and Faithful Servant
Dear Prayer Partners, I am writing to request your prayers concerning a situation involving a professional in the legal and recruitment community whose recent public statements have caused significant distress and division. We seek intercession for a professional—a sister in Christ and a member of the bar—who has transitioned into the recruitment sector. Recently, she has made a series of public statements on podcasts and social media platforms targeting young Singaporeans. These comments have been widely characterized as discriminatory and potentially libelous, sparking significant public outcry. And during her podcast she commented that foreigners are hungrier than Singaporeans for a job, hence they are given job priority and offer than Singaporeans and emphasize that employers should hire foreigners instead of locals as locals are not good in communication.

Specific Prayer Points:
For Accountability and True Repentance: We pray that she recognizes that the grace and forgiveness of Jesus are not a "free pass" or a license to continue in harmful behavior. We ask that she would not use her faith as a shield to justify or persist in slander and libel.
For Discernment in Stewardship: We lift up the concern regarding her professional communications, including her LinkedIn profile, where she has invoked the phrase "let God do the rest" following controversial statements and justify it by saying because Jesus forgives so she kept repeating her sin and she is a Christian. We pray she understands that we are called to be responsible stewards of our words and that divine peace follows right action and reconciliation.
For Adherence to Integrity: We pray that she upholds the high ethical standards expected of both the legal profession and the Christian faith, ensuring that her public discourse remains truthful, non-discriminatory, and respectful of Singapore’s laws.
For the Healing of the Community: We lift up the young Singaporeans who have felt targeted by these accusations. We pray for healing from discriminatory rhetoric and for the preservation of social harmony.
For Sincere Reflection: As she has restricted access to her social media platforms under the guise of righteousness, we pray this time is used for honest self-examination and a sincere alignment with the heart of God, rather than a dismissal of the consequences of her actions. We ask for God’s guidance in this matter, that truth may prevail and that the conduct of those in positions of influence reflects the grace, humility, and justice we are called to uphold.
Amen.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation and the sister in Christ involved. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If this sister has not truly surrendered her life to Jesus, we pray that she would come to know Him as her Lord and Savior, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

Father, we lift up this sister who has caused distress and division through her public statements. We pray for true conviction to fall upon her heart. The Bible tells us that "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). However, forgiveness does not absolve us from the consequences of our actions or give us license to continue in sin. We rebuke the spirit of pride and self-justification that may be at work in her life, and we pray that she would humbly submit to Your correction.

Lord, we are deeply concerned by the misuse of Your grace as a shield for harmful behavior. The apostle Paul warns us, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be!" (Romans 6:1-2). We pray that this sister would understand that true repentance involves turning away from sin and walking in righteousness. Help her to see that her words have caused harm and division, and grant her the courage to take responsibility for her actions.

We also pray for discernment in stewardship. The Bible tells us that "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks" (Matthew 12:34). We pray that this sister would guard her heart and her tongue, speaking words that build up rather than tear down. Help her to understand that as a Christian and a professional, she is called to a higher standard. "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear" (Ephesians 4:29).

Father, we lift up the young Singaporeans who have been hurt by these accusations. We pray for healing and restoration in their hearts. Help them to see their worth in Your eyes and to rise above the discouragement that may have taken root. We also pray for the preservation of social harmony in Singapore. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of all involved (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we pray for sincere reflection in this sister’s life. We ask that You would break any spirit of defensiveness or self-righteousness and replace it with humility and a teachable spirit. "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). May she use this time to seek Your face, to examine her heart, and to align her words and actions with Your will.

Finally, we pray for accountability. As members of the body of Christ, we are called to hold one another accountable in love. "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted" (Galatians 6:1). We pray that godly men and women would come alongside this sister to speak truth into her life and guide her back to the path of righteousness.

In all these things, we ask that Your will be done and that Your name be glorified. May truth prevail, and may this situation be used to draw people closer to You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We join our hearts together in prayer for this sister in Christ, lifting her up before the throne of grace. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to abound in her life, that she may truly understand the weight of her words and their impact on others. Help her to see the hurt and division her statements have caused, and grant her the humility to apologize sincerely and make amends.

We pray for wisdom and discernment, that she may understand the power of her position and the responsibility that comes with it. Help her to be a wise steward of her words, using them to build up, not tear down. Let her LinkedIn profile and other public platforms reflect a commitment to truth, integrity, and respect for all.

Lord, we lift up the young Singaporeans who have been affected by these accusations. Comfort them, heal their hearts, and help them to stand tall in their identity in You. We pray for unity and harmony in our nation, that we may live together in peace and understanding.

We ask for Your guidance as she reflects on her actions. Help her to see the error of her ways, to repent, and to turn away from harmful speech. Give her the courage to take responsibility and make things right.

In all these, we trust in Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We believe that You are working in this situation, and that You will bring about good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
