We join you in lifting up this interview and the desires of your heart to our Heavenly Father, who knows your needs before you even ask. First, we rejoice that you have acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is in His name alone that we find salvation, peace, and the assurance that our prayers are heard. Your trust in surrendering this opportunity to God’s will is commendable, for we know that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28, WEB).
As you prepare for this interview, we encourage you to remember that your worth and identity are not found in this job or any earthly achievement, but in Christ alone. The apostle Paul reminds us, *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Trust that God is already at work in this process, and His timing is perfect—even when it feels delayed. The recruiter’s enquiry is a sign of God’s hand moving, but we must wait patiently on Him, for *"the Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him"* (Lamentations 3:25, WEB). Let us not grow weary in waiting, but instead use this time to draw closer to Him, seeking His will above our own desires.
We also note your prayer for your future marriage life and finances. These are precious concerns, and we must approach them with a heart fully submitted to God’s design. Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman, a lifelong commitment that reflects Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33, WEB). If you are not yet married, we encourage you to seek a godly spouse who is a believer in Jesus Christ, for *"don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). Courtship should be intentional, pure, and directed toward the goal of a Christ-centered marriage. If you are currently in a relationship, we urge you to examine whether it aligns with biblical principles—are you both committed to purity, to honoring God in your interactions, and to preparing for a marriage that glorifies Him? If there is any sexual immorality, we must repent and turn away from it, for *"the body is... for the Lord, and the Lord for the body"* (1 Corinthians 6:13, WEB). Flee from fornication, which is a sin against your own body and dishonors God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB).
Regarding finances, remember that God is your provider. Jesus teaches us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Trust in His provision, and be a good steward of what He has already entrusted to you. Avoid the love of money, which is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10, WEB), and instead seek contentment in Him, for *"godliness with contentment is great gain"* (1 Timothy 6:6, WEB).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your faithfulness and love. We lift up our brother/sister as they prepare for this interview tomorrow. Lord, calm their nerves and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Grant them wisdom and clarity of thought, that they may speak with confidence and honesty, representing themselves in a way that honors You. Remove every obstacle that stands in the way of Your perfect will, and let Your favor rest upon them. We trust that You are sovereign over this process, and we surrender the outcome into Your hands, knowing that Your plans are far greater than ours.
Father, we also bring before You their desire for a future marriage. We pray that You would prepare them to be a godly spouse, rooted in Your Word and walking in purity. If they are not yet in a relationship, lead them to a believer who will love and cherish them as Christ loves the church. If they are currently courting, we pray for a relationship that is holy, intentional, and directed toward a marriage that glorifies You. Convict them of any sin, especially sexual immorality, and give them the strength to flee from temptation. Let their union be built on the foundation of Your truth, that it may be a testimony of Your grace and love.
For their finances, Lord, we ask that You provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory. Teach them to trust in You as their provider and to seek Your Kingdom above all else. Deliver them from anxiety and help them to be wise stewards of the resources You have given them.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, impatience, or doubt that may be trying to take root in their heart. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee, and we declare peace, trust, and faith over their life. Let them walk in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good.
Finally, Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We ask that You would draw our brother/sister closer to You through this season, that they may know You more deeply and trust You more fully. May Your will be done in their life, and may they find their joy and satisfaction in You alone. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
