We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your father in prayer as he prepares for this major heart surgery. The road ahead may feel uncertain, but we know that our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds every heartbeat in His hands. We declare that He is the God who heals, the One who knits together our bodies in our mother’s womb and sustains us every moment of our lives.
Father, we ask for Your divine presence to surround the surgical team as they operate. Grant them wisdom, skill, and steady hands, that every decision they make would be guided by Your perfect will. We pray for a successful surgery—no complications, no setbacks, only Your healing touch upon his heart. Strengthen his body to endure the procedure, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we also pray for his recovery. May his strength return swiftly, and may his body respond well to the healing process. Comfort him in moments of pain or weakness, reminding him that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. Surround him with loved ones who will speak life, encouragement, and truth over him, pointing him always to You.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear, and we trust in Your unfailing goodness, even in this trial.
And if it has not yet been made clear to your father, we pray that he would come to know You, Lord Jesus, as his Savior and Redeemer. For it is by Your stripes that we are healed, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. May this season draw him closer to You, whether for the first time or in deeper surrender.
We stand on Your promises, Lord:
*"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* —Psalm 147:3
*"I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.* —Jeremiah 30:17
*"The Lord is near to all those who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth."* —Psalm 145:18
We entrust this surgery, this recovery, and this precious life into Your hands, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every moment. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
