God has answered prayers and sent him a wonderful woman and they are moving towards marriage. He has an okay job and fine for one but not for a family. He is ready to start trying to find something better. I ask for prayers that a perfect wonderful job will come his way that he will love and help him grow and improve and advance and be able to better support a family. I have prayed for a promotion but I think that will actually not be great as it would send him to a new bottom schedule in the new tier. So not actually perfect. So we pray that something will come his way just as this answered prayer of a woman has. He finally sees a future with a family that I knew he wanted and seeing that lifestyle change that I also prayed so hard for. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

We rejoice with you over how God has answered your prayers for your loved one. It is beautiful to hear that the Lord has brought a wonderful woman into his life and that they are moving toward marriage, and that you have seen the lifestyle change and the desire for a family that you have prayed so hard for. We give thanks to God for His faithfulness and for opening his eyes to a future that honors the Lord.

We stand with you in praying for God's provision for his work and vocation. We know that a job that is fine for one may not be sufficient to support a family, and we agree that God calls a man to provide for his household and to work heartily as unto the Lord. As it is written, But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever 1 Timothy 5:8, and Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We also remember the promise, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We trust that the same God who so perfectly provided this godly relationship will also provide the right employment in His perfect timing.

We agree with your wisdom in praying not just for any promotion, but for the perfect job that God has prepared for him. Man often looks for advancement in title alone, but God looks at what is truly best. We pray that the Lord will lead him to work that he will love, where he can grow and improve and advance, and where he can better support a future family with stability and dignity. We commit his way to the Lord as scripture says, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3, and we trust in the Lord's good plans, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

We also want to encourage them both as they move toward marriage. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed it, Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24. We strongly endorse marriage and we are so encouraged that their courtship is moving with marriage as the goal. We pray that if they are believers, they will continue to pursue purity and honor God in their courtship, keeping themselves from fornication, which is sex before or outside of marriage, and that they will seek godly counsel and premarital preparation so their union will be built on Christ from the beginning. We pray they will love each other as Christ loves the church Ephesians 5:25 and that the wife to be will be respected and cherished as a fellow heir of the grace of life.

Father in heaven, we thank You in Jesus name for answering prayer and for bringing this wonderful woman into his life. We thank You for softening his heart and giving him a vision for a family and for a future that honors You. Lord, we lift up his job situation to You. You know his skills, his needs, and the needs of the family he hopes to build. We ask that You open the door to the perfect and wonderful job that You have prepared for him, a place where he can grow, be challenged, provide well, and glorify You through his work. Close the doors that are not Your best, even if they look like a promotion, and open the one that is truly perfect in Your sight. Give him wisdom, diligence, favor with employers, and peace as he seeks. Prepare both him and his future wife for a godly marriage that will be lifelong, faithful, and centered on Christ. Keep them pure, keep them close to You, and let their testimony bring glory to Your name. We delight ourselves in You and trust You to give the desires of their hearts as they align with Your will Psalm 37:4. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

We share your joy in what God has already done here, bringing a wonderful woman into his life and giving him a clearer vision for marriage and family. To have prayed so long for that lifestyle change and now see it happening is a real encouragement, and we thank God with you for it.

We also hear your careful love as a parent in how you are praying for his work. Not just any promotion or more income, but work that fits who he is, where he can grow and use his gifts well and provide steadily for a future family. It shows wisdom that you noticed a promotion might not actually be the best path if it puts him back at the bottom of a new schedule. Sometimes the right next step is not simply moving up where he is, but finding the better fit elsewhere.

One practical help as he begins to look may be to sit down together and clarify what that good fit would look like for him, the kind of work he does well and finds meaningful, the schedule and stability a young family needs, and how he senses God leading. Talking that through with a trusted mentor, pastor, or career counselor in your community can bring clarity and open doors he might not find on his own, and we will join you in praying for wisdom for each conversation and application.

Father, we thank You for the answered prayers You have already given this family and for the hope You have put in his heart for marriage and family. We ask for Your guidance as he seeks what is next in his work. Lead him to the place where he can serve well, grow, and provide, and give him and those who love him peace as You direct his steps. We join with you in thanksgiving to our gracious God who has heard your prayers and has led this dear man toward that holy estate which He Himself ordained, the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman in marriage. It is a good and joyful thing to see the Lord answer prayer in this way, and to see a heart turned toward family and future usefulness, for every good gift comes from the Father of lights.

You have prayed well concerning his daily calling. As Job found, the Lord orders our outward estate according to His wisdom, and He who turned again the captivity of Job when he prayed can also open a door of provision in due season. We remember how Job said his glory was fresh in him and his bow was renewed in his hand, yet afterward that freshness faded for a season, that he might learn that all our strength and increase must come from the hand of God and not from our own. So we are taught not to lean upon one particular promotion or scheme of our own devising, but to wait upon the Lord who knows what is perfect for His child.

We will bring your request before the throne of grace, that the Lord in His providence would provide such honest and fitting employment as shall enable this man to labour with diligence, to grow in character and skill, and to provide for a household as a faithful husband and father should. We ask not merely for advancement as the world counts it, but for that place where he may be most useful, most content in his calling, and best able to support the family which the Lord may be pleased to give him. The Lord knows whether a promotion would be a burden or a blessing, and we may safely leave the choice with Him who never errs.

Let us also pray that as they move toward marriage, their walk may be kept pure and honourable before God, for the marriage bed is to be kept within the covenant and undefiled, and true happiness is found in obedience to Christ. May they both be found resting their hope of salvation upon Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved, and may their future home be built upon that Rock.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank Thee for Thy mercy already shown in answering prayer for a companion and for stirring in this man desires after family life and holy responsibility. Thou hast in times past turned the captivity of Thy servants and given them twice as much as they had before, and we look to Thee still. Provide, we beseech Thee, such labour as Thou seest to be best, that he may work heartily as unto Thee, advance in what is good, and have wherewith to provide for those committed to his care. Keep them both in Thy fear, preserve them from sin, and make their coming union, if it be Thy will, a picture of Christ and His Church, to Thy glory. Guide them by Thy counsel, supply all their need according to Thy riches in Christ Jesus, and teach us all to restrain not prayer before Thee, but to cast our care upon Him who careth for us.
