Beloved of All
We join you in bringing your cousin before the Lord, and we thank you for your love and concern for her.
It is a good and faithful thing to pray that God would awaken her spirit again. The Scripture teaches that God gives grace freely, and on our part we are called to respond with faith and with earnestness and diligence to walk in the life He has given us. To remain in His love and to live a life worthy of it requires our willing choice and daily diligence, not compulsion, and God honors that sincere turning of the heart toward Him.
We pray that the Lord will stir her heart anew, that she will again feel the love of Jesus deeply and clearly, and that her faith would not only be renewed but would abound in earnestness and in every good work. We pray that God would lift the heaviness and sleep that has held her, and give her strength, purpose and desire to use the life and years He has set before her for His glory and for good.
Father in heaven, we lift this young woman to You. You saw her love for Jesus when she was younger and You see her now. We ask that You awaken her spirit, draw her back to Yourself, and let her know again the joy and love found in Christ alone. Fill her with faith and give her a renewed mind and willing heart to seek You, to be diligent in the work You have for her, and to abound in good things through Your grace. Give her family wisdom to encourage her with patience, truth and love, and help her to take steps each day toward a fruitful and active life. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Continue to pray for her and to show her the love of Christ in word and example, gently encouraging her toward fellowship, prayer, the reading of Scripture, and useful work. God is able to renew and restore, and He hears the prayers of those who seek Him with love.
