We join with you in prayer for your precious daughter and for your home, and we thank God for your marriage and your family. Children are a gift from the Lord and we rejoice with you as you seek His peace and rest for your household.
We know how wearying broken sleep can be, and we bring this need before our Father who cares for every detail of our lives. Scripture reminds us that children are a heritage of Yahweh, the fruit of the womb is his reward, Psalm 127:3, and that it is vain for us to rise up early and stay up late, for he gives sleep to his beloved, Psalm 127:2. We pray that He will restore sweet and uninterrupted sleep to your daughter and to both of you as her parents.
We also pray for the atmosphere of your home, that it would be filled with the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control, Galatians 5:22-23, and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7.
We pray together now.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for this family, for this husband and wife joined together in holy marriage, and for their daughter whom You have entrusted to them. Lord, we ask that You would lay Your hand of peace upon this little one, that You would calm her in the night and grant her deep, restful sleep as she once had. We pray as Your Word says, when you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet, Proverbs 3:24, and that in peace we will both lay ourselves down and sleep, for you, Yahweh, alone make us live in safety, Psalm 4:8.
Father, we lift up this husband and wife and ask that You would renew their strength and grant them good and refreshing sleep, that they may serve You and love their daughter with patience and joy. Fill their home with Your love and let love be the bond of perfection over all, Colossians 3:14. Let Your joy be their strength and let Your peace rule in their hearts, Colossians 3:15, so that there is harmony, affection, and happiness between them all. Guard their marriage and their parenting, and help them to continue to seek You together and to raise their daughter in the nurture and instruction of the Lord.
We thank You, Lord, that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we come to You. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. Continue to establish this home on Christ the solid rock. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
