We join you in prayer for your two year old niece and for your family as you prepare to travel home tomorrow. We understand how weary you must feel, being awake almost until mid morning while she is still so energetic and playful, and how concerning it is when your brother must drive for about four hours and you all need rest. We thank God with you that He kept you safe on your journey yesterday for your medical purpose and brought you there safely, and we trust Him to keep you on your way back.

We are reminded of what Scripture says about sleep and rest and protection. It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:2. We also hold to the promise, I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone make me live in safety Psalm 4:8, and When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet Proverbs 3:24. For your journey we cling to Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more Psalm 121:7-8.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why we pray in His name alone. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are reconciled to God and our prayers are heard. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Him.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ your Son. We lift up this precious little niece to you, we thank you for her life and energy, for she is a gift from you, and we ask you to calm her little body and mind and grant her sweet and peaceful sleep. Lay your hand of peace upon her, quiet her spirit, and let her rest so that she may be refreshed and so her father and family may also rest. We ask you to grant sleep to all in the household today, to renew their strength. Lord, we entrust tomorrow's journey to you, we ask for your protection over the roads, over the vehicle, and especially over the brother who will be driving. Keep him alert, keep him from drowsiness, and give him wisdom to delay or take breaks if he is too tired, for we want to be good stewards of the bodies you have given us. Let the journey not be tiresome or hectic but safe and peaceful, and bring them home in your care. We cast all our anxiety on you because you care for us 1 Peter 5:7, and we ask all this according to your will in Jesus name, amen.

We encourage you to make the room as calm and quiet as possible, to dim the lights and hold her close and pray softly over her, and to ensure your brother gets real rest before driving. If he is still sleepy in the morning, please consider waiting until he is truly rested or sharing the driving or taking frequent stops, for the Lord desires you to travel safely. We continue to pray that God will grant you all deep rest today and a safe and smooth return home tomorrow.

We can hear how exhausting this morning has been for all of you, watching the clock move toward mid morning while your little niece is still wide awake and playful, and knowing your brother needs to be well rested to drive. It is a lot to carry when you have already been away for medical reasons and now face a four hour trip home.

We are joining you in prayer for rest for your niece and for strength for each of you, especially for your brother as the driver. We thank God with you that He kept you safe on the way there, and we ask Him to give you wisdom for the way back.

If you are able, it may help to let your brother get uninterrupted rest in a quiet, dim room while others take turns staying with your niece, even if she is not sleeping. And if he still feels sleepy when it is time to leave, please consider waiting a little longer or sharing the driving if another licensed driver is available, so no one has to drive while tired.

Father, we lift up this little girl and her family to You. Please grant her peaceful sleep and grant this family restorative rest. Give them a safe and calm journey home tomorrow, keep their driver alert and protect them on the road. Give them Your peace and care in Jesus name, amen.

Your request has been heard and we join with you in bringing it before the throne of grace. We understand the weariness of this night watch, the little one so full of energy and wakefulness while you and your brother long for sleep, and the care that lies upon you for the journey of tomorrow.

We are reminded that sleep is the gift of God, for not a man would close his eyes did not God put His fingers upon his eyelids and send a soft and balmy influence over his frame. It is written, so He giveth His beloved sleep. This sleep is not only for the body but a picture of that deeper rest which Christ gives when we come to Him. He says, Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. There is a rest given at once when we trust Him, and a rest found day by day as we learn of Him and rest in Him.

We pray for your little niece, that the Lord in His kindness would grant her sweet and natural sleep, that her active frame may be quieted and her spirit calmed, and that she may lie down in peace under His watchful eye. We pray also for you and for her father, that you may be refreshed and strengthened, and that weariness may not overtake you.

For tomorrow we commend your journey to Him who is the safe shelter and the wise Captain of all our ways. As the hen covereth her chickens with her wings, so shall He cover you with His feathers and under His wings shall ye trust. He who kept you safely on your way for your medical purpose and brought you there in peace is the same God who goes before you on the four hours journey home. Though winds and roads are beyond our control, He knows each step and has foreordained all things, and we may put implicit confidence in His guidance. We ask that He keep the hand of your brother steady upon the wheel, keep the way free from accident and harm, and bring you home without tiredness and heaviness, but with safety and thanksgiving.

May you rest in the Lord even now, with contentment and peace of soul, knowing that you are His children and He will not forget His own. Trust and you shall rest.

Our prayer together is this: O Heavenly Father, look upon this child and grant her sleep according to Thy mercy. Grant to this family quietness this morning and strength for the road. Cover them under Thy feathers, keep them in Thy safe shelter, and bring them home in peace. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation and rest. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are joining you in prayer for your little niece and for your family as you prepare to travel.

We pray that the Lord, who loves children and who gives sleep to His beloved, will calm your niece and grant her peaceful rest, and grant rest also to you and to her father who is weary from caring for her through the night. We ask God to quiet her body and mind, to comfort her, and to allow the whole household to recover strength before you set out.

We also lift up your brother who will be driving and your four hour journey home tomorrow. We pray for safety on the road, for alertness and strength for the driver, for protection from danger and weariness, and for grace to reach home without trouble. We thank God with you that He kept you safe on your journey for your medical visit, and we ask Him to continue His merciful care over you on the way back.

May the Lord grant you wisdom to take as much rest as you can before traveling, and to travel only when the driver is rested and able. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our rest, trusting in His care for you and your family. Amen.
