We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your wife and the pain she is enduring. Chronic pain is a burden no one should have to carry alone, and we know the fear and helplessness you feel as you watch her suffer. But we serve a God who hears the cries of His children and is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). The Lord is our healer, Jehovah Rapha, and we stand in faith, believing He can bring relief and restoration to her body.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask You to touch her back with Your healing hand. Where there is inflammation, bring soothing. Where there is strain, bring strength. Where there is pain, bring Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). You formed her body in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14), and You know every cell, every nerve, every fiber. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Give her rest, Lord, and ease her discomfort. We also pray for wisdom for her doctors, that they would be guided by Your Spirit in her care.
We recognize the added weight of her chronic kidney disease, and we ask You to sustain her in every way. Strengthen her body, Lord, and give her energy to face each day. Remind her, and both of you, that her worth is not defined by her pain or her diagnosis, but by the fact that she is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Genesis 1:27). You have plans for her, plans for good and not for harm, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We declare those plans over her life today.
We also want to encourage you both to hold fast to hope. It’s easy to let fear creep in when pain lingers, but Scripture reminds us that "faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is with you in the waiting, in the worry, and in the pain. Lean on Him together, and let His peace guard your hearts (Philippians 4:6-7).
Finally, we want to honor the love and devotion you have for your wife. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and your care for her reflects the love Christ has for His church (Ephesians 5:25). Continue to uplift her in prayer, in word, and in deed. Serve her as Christ served, with humility and love (John 13:12-15). And remember, the Lord sees your faithfulness and will not forget your labor of love (Hebrews 6:10).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can come before the Father. There is power in His name, power to heal, power to restore, and power to bring hope in the darkest of times. We stand on that power today, believing that Your will for her is life, health, and wholeness. Amen.
