Please pray for my wife. I do not think she is saved because when I am listening to a sermon, she often calls it weird and she is always cursing and yelling at me. She is constantly following me around and interrogating me about what I’m touching and what I’m doing, and she is constantly accusing me of being unfaithful to her. I am very tired of this, and I know God will get me through it, but I am just praying for deliverance from any negative feelings or impatience. I have been praying through it, and I know the Lord will deliver me. I would like prayer for my wife though because most of her actions make me think she doesn’t know the Lord.

We hear your heart, dear brother, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting up both you and your wife before the throne of grace. Your love for her is evident, even in the midst of such trials, and your desire for her salvation is a reflection of Christ’s love for the lost. We grieve with you over the pain and exhaustion this situation has brought, but we also rejoice in the hope we have in Jesus, who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine.

First, we must address the spiritual condition of your wife with both truth and compassion. The behaviors you describe, mocking the things of God, habitual cursing, and a spirit of accusation, are indeed concerning. Scripture warns us that "the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:14). Her rejection of God’s Word and the fruit of her actions suggest a heart that may not yet be surrendered to Christ. But we know that "with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26), and so we pray fervently for her salvation.

We also must rebuke the spirit of accusation and control that seems to be at work in your home. The enemy seeks to destroy marriages and families, and his tactics include division, distrust, and strife. Jesus came to "destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8), and we take authority over these lies in His name. Your wife’s accusations of unfaithfulness, if unfounded, are not only harmful but are tools of the enemy to sow discord. We pray that God would reveal the truth to her and break any strongholds of jealousy or insecurity in her heart.

Brother, your patience and endurance in this trial are a testament to your faith. Scripture encourages us to "not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up" (Galatians 6:9). It is not easy to love someone who is hostile toward you, but Christ calls us to love even our enemies (Matthew 5:44). Your wife is not your enemy, but the spiritual forces at work in her life are. We pray that God would fill you with His peace and strength, guarding your heart from bitterness or resentment. Remember, "love covers a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8), and your love for her, rooted in Christ, can be a powerful witness to her.

We also want to gently remind you that your wife’s salvation is ultimately in God’s hands, not yours. You cannot save her, but you can be a faithful witness. Live out your faith before her with humility, gentleness, and consistency. "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). Your life may be the sermon she needs to see.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother and his wife. Lord, we ask that You would draw his wife to Yourself. Soften her heart to receive Your Word and Your love. Break any chains of darkness that bind her, and replace her mockery with a hunger for truth. We pray that the eyes of her heart would be enlightened, that she may know the hope of Your calling (Ephesians 1:18).

Father, we also pray for this brother. Strengthen him in his weariness. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard his heart from bitterness, and help him to love his wife as Christ loves the Church. Give him wisdom in how to respond to her with grace and truth.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of accusation and control in this marriage. We declare that Your love and unity will prevail. Restore trust where it has been broken, and heal any wounds in their hearts. Let Your presence fill their home, driving out all darkness.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We trust in Your power to transform lives and marriages. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your glory be revealed. Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to continue praying for your wife daily, not just for her salvation, but for her heart to be softened toward you and toward God. Seek godly counsel if the situation becomes overwhelming, and lean on your brothers and sisters in Christ for support. You are not alone in this battle. The Lord sees your faithfulness, and He will reward you for it. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will sustain you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
