Pray for my son ###

Sttaruenar

Disciple of Prayer
My son needs help and prayers. He lives alone and misses his family. He often has suicidal thoughts, and I am very worried about him. There is not much help for him from health and social services. I cannot afford to fly over to help him. He is due to undergo medical procedures. Desperate for prayers for his mental and wellbeing. ###

We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we hear the deep burden and worry you carry for him as his parent. To live alone far from family and to face medical procedures while feeling isolated can feel overwhelming, and we grieve with you that he is battling thoughts of hopelessness and despair. We want you to know that his life is precious in the sight of God and deeply valuable, and that God sees him even in his loneliness.

The Lord draws especially near to those who are brokenhearted. Scripture tells us The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We rebuke the lie that he is alone, forgotten, or without hope, and we rebuke the spirit of despair and suicide that would tell him his life has no purpose. That is not the truth of God. God says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. His life has purpose and meaning because he is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God Psalm 139:14, and nothing can separate him from the love of God Romans 8:38-39.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We gently share this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find salvation and true hope. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought into relationship with God. We encourage you and your son to call upon the name of Jesus, to confess your need for Him and trust Him as Lord and Savior, for He is our living hope and our peace in every trial.

We encourage you to keep reaching out to your son as you are able, with regular calls and messages, reminding him he is loved and not forgotten, and to help him stay connected to any local support he can find, whether a trusted doctor, counselor, pastor, or caring community and church family nearby. If he speaks of wanting to harm himself, please encourage him to reach out immediately to a trusted person near him, a local crisis helpline, or emergency services, and to not remain alone with those thoughts. We also understand the pain of not being able to fly to him and the frustration when health and social services feel limited, but God is present where we cannot be. He promises Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you Psalm 41:10 and Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.

We pray together for him now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this beloved son to You. Lord, You see his loneliness, his missing his family, his anxious thoughts and the suicidal thoughts that torment him, and You see the medical procedures before him. We ask You to surround him with Your presence and peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. Heal his broken heart, quiet his mind, and let him know he is deeply loved by You and by his family. Rebuke and remove the spirit of despair and replace it with hope. Guard his life, Lord, for his life belongs to You. Give wisdom and steady hands to the medical team who will care for him and bring him through these procedures safely. Provide comfort and strength to his parent who is carrying this heavy worry from afar, and provide for every need, even the desire to be together again if it is Your will. Help him to find godly community and support where he lives so he is not alone. Draw both this parent and son to Jesus, that they may know the full hope of salvation and the assurance that You will never leave nor forsake them Hebrews 13:5. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior. Amen.

We will continue to hold your son and you in prayer, asking God to bring healing to his mind and body, comfort in his loneliness, and a renewed sense of hope and purpose in Christ. Keep casting your cares upon the Lord, for He hears the desperate prayers of a parent and He is faithful.

We are holding you and your ### in our hearts after reading your request. Because you mentioned suicidal thoughts, we want to share care resources right away. If he is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, find a helpline in your country (about ### countries) at findahelpline.com You are not alone; trained people are ready to help right now.

We hear how painful it is to love him from a distance and feel unable to be there physically, especially with medical procedures ahead and limited support where he is. Your worry is understandable, and your prayers matter.

One steady step that can help is keeping a simple, regular rhythm of contact, even brief daily calls or video chats, so he feels less alone. When you talk, it can help to ask calmly and directly if he is having thoughts of harming himself and whether he has a plan, and to encourage him to tell his doctor or a trusted local person right away. Before his procedures, please encourage him to let his medical team know about his mental wellbeing too, so they can care for the whole person. If he has a neighbor, friend, or local church contact, seeing if one person nearby can check in can add another layer of support. And as you carry this, please lean on someone near you for support as well, alongside prayer.

Father, we bring ### before you and ask for your nearness and protection over him. Comfort him in loneliness, guide those caring for him medically, and give his mother wisdom, peace and strength for each day. Lead them both to the help they need. In Jesus' name, amen.

I pray that he can get the help he needs, but most importantly. I pray that he can get Jesus✝️ in the name of Jesus, amen!

I am sorry you, and your son are going through this.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Father we ask You use the church or members in it with the gifts needed You so richly supplied through The Holy Spirit. We ask for pastoral anointing from Jesus the Chief Shepherd, 1 Peter 5:1-9. Revive Your church and gifts more eminently, for Your Glory in confirming The Gospel, Mark 16:20, Matt 28:18-20, Luke 24:46-49, Acts 1:8, Rom 1:5, creating obedient faith in Jesus, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

Fruit of Holy Spirit Gal 5:22-23, Humble yet Bold, Holy, Loving Teams: Preaching, Signs, Wonders Acts 4:29-30 Authority over Demons, Lk 11:20...🧎🏽‍♂️Jesus, we ask and agree for bold, loving & accurate preaching of The Gospel, and attesting miracles, Acts 14:3. Confirm Your Word by The Holy Spirit that You suffered, died for our sins, rose and ascended to Messiah, The Lord's True Anointed, Mark 16:20, John 20:30-31, Acts 2:22, Acts 4:29-30, Rom 15:18-19, You ascended on High and gave gifts to humanity, Eph 4:10-11, 1 Cor 12:9-10. Thank You in Jesus' Name

Father, may You help us get our lives and message correct, 1 Tim 4:16, and confirm the Word with gifts, signs and wonders, as it is written, "This salvation was first announced by the Lord, was then confirmed to us by those who heard Him, 4 and was affirmed by God through signs, wonders, various using miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will," Heb 2:3-4.

1 Corinthians 12:4-12, "There are different gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord. 6 There are different ways of working, but the same God works all things in all people.

7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, who apportions them to each one as He determines. 12 The body is a unit, though it is composed of many parts. And although its parts are many, they all form one body. So it is with Christ."

Thank You for the promises of relationship with You, Jesus, Rev 3:19-20, for protection, Ps 91:11-12, Keeping us from sin, Zeph 3:13, and temptation, Matt 6:13, dangers of many kinds including deceivers, 2 Cor 11:26, pride, Ps 36:11, and the evil one, John 17:15. We don't even want nor need "greater works since You have gone to The Father," John 14:12, we'll be quite content to just be like our Master, Matt 10:24-25, nevertheless not our will but Yours be done, Luke 22:42. Thank You in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, in Jesus Name, John 14:13-14, again with thanksgiving we request this to partake of Your promised peace, Phil 4:6-7, and bless You for ALL Your benefits, Ps 103:2-5, Amen, Rev 3:14, 2 Cor 1:20.

Your sorrowful request concerning your son has been heard and we join you in bringing him before the throne of grace with earnest intercession.

We understand the heaviness that rests upon you, to love a child from a distance, to know his loneliness and his grief of heart, to hear that dark thoughts of self destruction have beset him, and to feel unable in your own strength or means to fly to his side as you would desire. And we understand his portion also, to live alone and to miss the comfort of family, to face medical procedures with an anxious mind and a weary body, and to find little help from the arm of man. This is a painful condition, and our hearts are moved with compassion for you both.

Yet we would remind you of what the Scripture teaches concerning loneliness and healing. Our blessed Lord Himself knew what it was to be left alone, alone just when most as Man He needed human sympathy. They all forsook Him and fled, and He trod the winepress alone. But hear His word in that hour, You shall leave Me alone and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. He who suffered this loneliness is able to sympathize with your son in his solitary dwelling, and to be present with him where no other friend can enter. Though men may fail and health and social services may prove slender reeds, the Father is still with those who look to Christ, and that presence can sustain the soul when all other comforts are far off.

There are seasons when the soul comes into deep conflict and faith has to fight for very existence. Some know what it is to be wearied in the length of their way and to say, There is no hope. The Word speaks of such a hope which is no hope, when a man trusts in himself or in his own devices. And indeed, there is no hope for any of us in ourselves. But there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Saviour of such as you. There is the brightness of a ray of hope this very morning, that God will turn a possible hope into an actual hope through believing in Jesus Christ. Think not that your son is beyond hope. While Jehovah lives, the mourner need not despair. There is One who careth for you and for him.

For the wound of the heart and the sickness of the body, there is healing in Christ. The Scripture says, The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and even His leaves are full of healing virtue. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were as one in His hand. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We pray that this healing may be known by your son, in soul and in body, as he looks to Christ.

Let us pray together for him.

O Lord our God, Father of mercies and God of all comfort, we bring this dear son before Thee. Thou seest him in his lonely room, Thou knowest his thoughts, his fears, his longing for family, and the heaviness that would press him to despair. Lord, draw near to him and let him know that he is not alone, for Thou art with him. Lift from him the cloud of darkness and give him hope in Christ where there seems to be no hope. Heal Thou his broken heart, bind up his wounds, and let the healing virtue of Thy Son be applied to his spirit and to his body. Be with him in the medical procedures which are before him, guide those who care for him, and grant him strength and recovery according to Thy will. Preserve his life, O Lord, and keep his feet from falling. Bring to him faithful friends and helpers, and open a door for the ministry of Thy Word and the comfort of Thy people near him. And sustain his mother who loves him and cries to Thee for him, give her peace in waiting upon Thee, and supply her need out of Thine abundance. All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope and our healing. Amen.

We exhort you to continue in prayer and to keep the line of love open to your son by every means you have, by word and letter and prayer, that he may hear again and again that he is loved both by you and by the Lord. Encourage him, as you are able, to seek help without delay from those near him, a faithful pastor, a trusted friend or family member, and from medical and counselling help where it can be found, and if he is ever in immediate danger to reach out at once to someone nearby or to a crisis helpline in his country, for example in the United Kingdom Samaritans on ###, in the United States ###, in Canada ###, or to his local emergency services. The Lord often works through such means, and we pray He will raise up such helps for him.

We will continue to remember you both before the Lord, that He who has begun a good work will perfect it, and that you may yet see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Sit not down in despair, hope on, hope ever. There is One who careth for you, and His leaves are for healing.
