Pray for my son ###

Please continue to keep my son in your prayers. He cannot seem to keep a job, and any money he does have, he uses to smoke weed. He has also been drinking. I am asking God to disconnect him from the people he is hanging around with and to place godly people in his life. I pray this in Jesus Christ Name

We lift your son before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the deep concern and love you have for him. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that it is only through Christ that we have access to Your throne of grace. We ask for Your mercy and intervention in this young man’s life, for apart from You, there is no lasting change or hope.

Lord, Your Word tells us in Proverbs 13:20, "He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." We rebuke the ungodly influences in his life, those who encourage him in reckless living, substance abuse, and instability. We ask You to sever every unholy connection and remove every person who does not lead him closer to You. Father, surround him with godly men who will speak truth, model integrity, and hold him accountable. Raise up mentors, brothers in Christ, and leaders who will show him the path of righteousness.

We also address the sin of substance abuse in his life. The Bible warns in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Smoking weed and drinking to excess are not only destructive to his body but grieve Your Holy Spirit. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and ask You to break its hold over him. Lord, reveal to him the emptiness of these habits and fill him with a hunger for Your presence instead.

Father, we pray for his work life. Proverbs 12:11 says, "He who tills his land shall have plenty of bread, but he who chases fantasies lacks wisdom." Give him wisdom to steward his time, talents, and resources well. Open doors of opportunity for him to find stable, honorable work, and give him the discipline to persevere. If laziness or lack of purpose has taken root, expose it and replace it with a spirit of diligence and responsibility.

Most of all, Lord, we pray for his heart. If he does not yet know You as Savior, we plead for his salvation. Romans 10:9 declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Draw him to Yourself, Jesus. Let him experience the conviction of the Holy Spirit and the freedom that comes from surrendering his life to You. If he is a believer, revive his faith and renew his commitment to walk in obedience.

We stand in the gap for this young man, declaring that no weapon formed against him will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, purpose, and transformation over him. May he rise up as a man of God, strong in faith, steadfast in work, and sober in mind. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and moving on his behalf. We trust in Your perfect timing and unfailing love. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re continuing to lift your son with you, and we feel the weight of your concern, the job instability, the pull of unhealthy substances and companions. It’s a heavy thing to watch someone you love drift, especially when you can see the doors that could open if only the fog lifted.

Sometimes steady work and responsible choices come a bit further down the road, after the deeper entanglement with substances loosens its grip. The people around him do matter enormously; they often shape what feels normal. So your prayer for godly connections is right on target. One practical step would be to look into a Christ-centered recovery group in your area, something like Celebrate Recovery. It’s designed exactly for facing habits, hurts, and hang-ups in the safety of grace, with others who truly get it. Many local churches offer it, and it wraps Bible-based hope around real accountability and genuine new friendships. If you think he’d resist the word “recovery,” a men’s Bible study or a casual church gathering geared toward young adults can also plant seeds of change.

Don’t underestimate your own role, your faithful prayers, your steady love that doesn’t approve of the drinking but refuses to give up on him. We’ll stand with you in that.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, we bring this son to You. Weary, drifting, and tangled in habits that steal his purpose, we ask You to break through. Send people across his path who will call out something better in him, who love You and who won’t reinforce the old patterns. Give him honest work that restores dignity, and lift the fog so he sees clearly. Sustain this mom with peace that doesn’t depend on what she can see, and with hope that doesn’t expire. In Your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The prayer of a mother’s heart ascends with a peculiar fragrance before the throne. You cry out for your son’s deliverance, and in that cry you touch the very intercession of our great High Priest. We cannot command the wind to blow, yet we spread the sail, and we shall not be disappointed, for He who hears the ravens will not despise the groanings of His people.

Consider the prodigal: his first step was not the father’s kiss but his own resolve, “I will arise and go to my father.” That resolve, weak as it was, became a deed. He arose and came. Your son lingers in the far country, feeding on husks, and the swine’s grunting drowns out sweeter sounds. But know this, the father did not kick the returning rebel; he kissed him much, lavishly, to make the mercy undeniable and to silence the accuser’s whisper. Should the elder brother’s harsh judgment arise, or his old companions cling like chains, yet the father’s kisses are strong enough to make the past a dream and the present all love. He is able to disconnect him from the entanglements of his wasted living and place godly men in his path, men who will not flatter his ruin but point him home.

Never mind that the world says God’s ear is shut. That is a lying arrow shot from the pit. The Lord has found a ransom, a ransom! The Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. Deliverance from the guilt and the power of sin is of a piece; both are the Father’s work through Christ. When the lamb was slain, Israel went free. If the Son makes him free, he shall be free indeed, not only from condemnation but from the dominion of drink and destructive desires. Pray on, for the purpose of Jehovah has decreed a set time for mercy. The clock of heaven will strike the hour of his deliverance, and he shall be brought forth with silver and gold, a better man than if he had never strayed.

You have the solace of a godly heritage. Manasseh was the child of eminently godly Hezekiah, and he plunged into unspeakable evils, yet in his affliction he thought of his father’s faith. Your boy cannot forget the law of his mother. That instruction is a hidden fetter holding him even now. The living witness of a parent’s consistent walk is a sermon his soul cannot entirely erase. So let your prayer be this: that God will give him a stark sight of his poverty, a loathing of the swill he now drinks, and that homesick hunger which alone leads to the journey home. We join our supplications to yours, confident that He who delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son will yet do the same for your child.

You do well to bring your son before the throne of grace, for Christ ever lives to make intercession for those who come to God by Him. He does not intercede once and then cease, but continually, whenever there is need. So persist, and do not think your prayers are lost. The widow prevailed with a pitiless judge by her importunity; how much more will the merciful High Priest hear a mother's ceaseless cry? Do not compose long and flowery prayers, but with a broken heart and unwavering faith, lay this same request before Him daily.

Yet take care that your sorrow does not misdirect your hope. You pray for God to disconnect your son from ungodly companions and send him friends who walk in righteousness. This is a good and necessary petition. But know that friendships based on anything other than godliness, whether on pleasure, shared vice, or long acquaintance, are more dangerous than open enmity. An enemy may profit your soul, but a friend who loves your table and not your virtue will surely drag you down. If your son's companions are joined to him by smoke and drink, then as long as those indulgences last, the bond remains. You must pray not merely for a change of company, but for a change of heart. For if the desire within is not extinguished, no removal of outward associates will cure the disease. To try and limit lust by adding more objects to it is like a man who wants to fly and fashions wings; the soul must be convinced that the thing it chases is vanity. So pray that your son will see the emptiness of these things, and that the fear of God will drive out his baseless cravings.

Do not be overwhelmed. Those who will live godly lives will face tribulation; this is the narrow way. Your trial as a mother is a form of persecution, a grief that tests your faith. Bear it nobly, as Job did. He lost much, yet he worshiped. And when he had shown the devil that he served God not for earthly goods, God restored all things to him. If your son is restored, give thanks. If the answer tarries, your reward for faithful endurance will be greater still.

Cease not to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. He is able to save to the uttermost. Trust His manhood which knows our weakness, and His priesthood which never ends. And while you wait, examine your own soul: keep no friendships that teach you harm, but cleave to those who stir you toward virtue. Let your own life be a fortified city of godly love, that your son may see what he lacks.
