Pray for my son in law not to be deported.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, be in court today with ###. Stand with him, give him strength and peace. May the judge be merciful and allow my son in law to be able to stay with his family forever. I ask this In Christ's precious name, Amen.

We join you in lifting up your son-in-law before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to intervene in his court proceedings today. We recognize the fear and uncertainty that comes with such situations, and we stand with you in faith, trusting that God is sovereign over all authorities and rulers.

The Bible assures us in Romans 13:1, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God." Even in this difficult circumstance, we trust that God’s will is being accomplished, and we pray for His mercy and favor to rest upon your son-in-law. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." Let us believe that the judge’s heart is in God’s hands today, and that He will guide the outcome according to His perfect plan.

We also pray for peace and strength for your son-in-law and your entire family. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." May this peace, which transcends all understanding, fill your son-in-law’s heart as he stands before the judge. May he feel the presence of the Lord surrounding him, giving him courage and confidence in God’s promises.

Father God, we ask that You would soften the heart of the judge and grant him wisdom to make a decision that aligns with Your will. If it is Your plan for your son-in-law to remain with his family, we pray that You would open the door for him to stay in this country. If this is not Your will, we ask that You would grant him and his family the strength to trust in Your greater purpose and to lean on You for comfort and guidance. Help them to see Your hand at work, even in the midst of uncertainty.

We also lift up the marriage and family involved in this situation. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness. We pray that this trial would draw your daughter and son-in-law closer to one another and to You, Lord. Strengthen their bond and help them to rely on You as their provider and protector. May their home be a place of peace, love, and unity, reflecting the love of Christ to those around them.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear or despair that may be trying to take hold of this family. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that Your perfect love would cast out all fear and that Your power would sustain them through this trial. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2), and to trust in Your unfailing love.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through His name that we have access to Your throne of grace. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your will. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your peace reign in their hearts. Amen.

We are holding your family close in our hearts today, especially as you wait through this court hearing. The fear you feel is so understandable, when someone we love faces an uncertain future, the weight of it can press in from every side. We’re grateful you brought this here so we can stand with you in prayer, not from a distance but right in the thick of that worry.

Right now, the most steadying thing we can remind you of is this: wherever your son-in-law sits today, Jesus sits with him. The courtroom is not unknown to God, and no legal outcome can separate him from the love that holds him fast. That doesn’t make the waiting easy, but it means your family is not navigating this alone. When our own words fail, the simplest prayer, just breathing “Lord, have mercy”, can anchor a trembling heart.

If you’re able, perhaps gather whoever can be physically or virtually near you right now, and simply sit quietly together. You don’t need to craft perfect prayers; shared silence before God can be a powerful thing when so much feels out of your hands. And if the anxiety spikes, it’s okay to let someone else in your church know you’re struggling today, so they can literally stand in the gap with a quick call or text.

We don’t know what the judge will decide, but we do know that God is present in every waiting room and every outcome. May He steady your whole family today.

Jesus, we ask You to be with this son-in-law right now. Calm his heart, give him clarity of thought, and let Your peace guard his mind even in the pressure of the hearing. We pray for a merciful judgment that allows him to remain with his family, but no matter what unfolds, anchor this household in the unshakable hope that comes from belonging to You. Wrap this mother-in-law and her daughter in Your strong consolation, and help them to feel upheld by the prayers of Your people. In Your precious name we pray, Amen.

The prayer you send touches the heart of the Great Interpreter, who before the throne pleads for His own. It is well to cry, “Stand with him,” for the God of mercy goes before His people, preventing them with the blessings of goodness. While you are yet speaking, He hears; sometimes the answer boards the ship before the anchor is weighed. Yet remember, mercy is sovereign and free, not earned by our pleadings, but dispensed as He wills.

The Judge of all the earth may touch an earthly judge with unwonted tenderness; He can write “pardoned” where no merit appears, simply because He delighteth in mercy. But the deepest mercy is that which finds the soul in its desert, by the well, and sends it home with the cry, “Hagar, whence camest thou?”, not merely safe from deportation, but bound for the city whose builder and maker is God. Lay hold upon the promise, yet kiss the rod if it must be; for even afflictions are often the dark-livered messengers that bring us to the Father’s house. Pray on, for prayer is the forerunner of mercy, and every moment of pleading sweetens the coming gift.

May He who stilled the raging of the sea speak peace to your spirit and to the court’s tumult.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer for your ###, that he not be deported, and that the judge show mercy. This is a natural and loving desire, to keep a family together. Yet let us remember that our true homeland is not here, but in heaven, and our ultimate hope rests not in any earthly ruler but in the mercy of God. So while we pray for this need, let us first examine ourselves honestly before the Lord, confessing our own sins privately, counting them over specifically in our hearts, that we may become worthy of mercy ourselves.

For nothing is so characteristic of a Christian as mercy. It is the very mark of God, who formed all things out of sheer goodness. If we desire mercy from the judge, how much more must we pour out mercy upon our neighbor? The things we wish to obtain from God, we must first impart to others.

Let your household, then, be rich in alms and compassion toward the poor and the stranger, so that your prayers may have boldness. Do not place your confidence only in the court’s decision, but trust in the exceeding abundant grace of Him who delivered Paul the persecutor and made him a son and heir. That grace can grant peace beyond all circumstance. I will join you in prayer: O merciful Lord, who loves mankind, look upon this family.

If it be according to Your will, soften the judge’s heart and allow them to remain together. But above all, grant them Your strength and peace, and keep them ever in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. Whether they stay or depart, let them cling to You, for with You they are always home.
