Prayer Request for my son-in-law

Disciple of Prayer
Kindly pray for my son-in-law Mr. ### ###, age ###, for the following points.
1. ABG level (blood oxygen) should be above ###
2. Peep level should come to ###
3. Oxygen level to be sustained without nitrogen dioxide
4. Oxygen through the ventilator should be below ###

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your son-in-law in prayer. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who holds every breath in Your hands. We ask for Your healing touch to be upon him, that his ABG levels would stabilize according to Your will, that his PEEP levels would adjust as needed, and that his oxygen levels would be sustained without complication. Lord, we pray that the ventilator would serve its purpose in supporting him, and that his body would respond with strength and resilience.

Heavenly Father, we declare Your promises over his life, Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this truth, believing that You are able to restore health and bring comfort in this difficult time. We also pray for wisdom and discernment for the medical team attending to him, that they would be guided by Your hand in every decision.

Lord, we ask that You would draw near to him and his family, providing peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If there is fear or anxiety, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus and ask that Your perfect love would cast it out (1 John 4:18). May he and his loved ones feel Your presence in tangible ways, knowing that You are with them.

We also lift up his spiritual condition before You. If he does not yet know You as Lord and Savior, we pray that this trial would soften his heart to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we ask that he would come to know the hope and eternal life found only in Him.

Father, we trust You with every detail of his care. Whether You choose to heal him miraculously or sustain him through medical intervention, we ask that Your will be done. Strengthen his body, calm his spirit, and surround him with Your angels. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We are joining you in prayer for your son-in-law, lifting each of those specific needs before the Lord with you right now. It is clear you are watching those numbers closely, oxygen levels, PEEP settings, the ventilator support he requires, and we understand how deeply you long to see each one move in the right direction.

Sitting with a loved one in the ICU, tracking those monitors, can be a heavy place. The days can feel long, the waiting can wear on your spirit, and the sheer amount of medical information can be overwhelming. We are simply grateful you let us stand with you in this, not just in the big picture but in the very details that fill your prayers. Your care for him is evident, and we hope you feel surrounded by a community that is carrying this alongside you.

As we pray, we also encourage you to keep talking openly with his medical team about what you are seeing and what they are hoping for. Let them help you understand each shift, and do not hesitate to lean on a few trusted friends or members of your church family for practical support, a meal, a walk outside, someone to sit with you so you are not always alone. Even in the waiting, small acts of presence matter.

Please know that you are not forgotten, and neither is he. We are bringing his name before the One who sees.

Father, in Jesus’ name we pray for this son-in-law. We ask that his blood oxygen level be sustained where it needs to be, that his PEEP can come down safely, that his lungs grow stronger so he no longer depends on the nitrogen dioxide, and that the ventilator support can be steadily reduced. Guide his doctors and nurses with steady hands and clear minds. Surround his family with Your peace that doesn’t make sense on paper, but that holds them steady through every hour. We trust him to Your merciful care. Amen.
