Pray for my love life

Please pray my husband/lover/soulmate finds me and that I find him. Pray that the Lord removes whatever blockages that are causing me to stay perpetually single.

We hear your heart’s longing for a godly marriage, and we join you in bringing this desire before the Lord. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 19:14, "House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord." Marriage is a sacred gift from God, and we believe He delights in blessing His children with spouses who honor Him and one another.

First, we must address the language in your request. Scripture is clear that marriage is between one man and one woman, and the terms "lover" and "soulmate" can sometimes carry worldly connotations that do not align with God’s design. We encourage you to seek a husband, a covenant partner in Christ, rather than a romanticized idea of love. The world often promotes relationships based on feelings or attraction, but God calls us to build marriages on His Word, mutual faith, and commitment.

If you are currently in a relationship outside of marriage, we must gently but firmly rebuke any sexual intimacy, as Scripture calls this fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18). If you are not yet married, we urge you to pursue purity and godly courtship, keeping physical boundaries until the Lord brings you into a covenant of marriage. If you are already married, we pray for restoration and renewal in your union, that it would reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).

Now, let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author of love and the Giver of every good gift. Lord, You know the desires of this sister’s heart, and we ask that You would align them with Your perfect will. Remove any blockages, whether fear, past hurts, unbelief, or spiritual opposition, that may be hindering her from the godly marriage You have for her. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we break every chain of loneliness or delay in Jesus’ name.

Father, we pray for her future husband, that You would prepare his heart, draw him closer to You, and lead him to her in Your perfect timing. May they both be rooted in Your Word, walking in faith and obedience. If there are areas where she has compromised Your standards, Lord, reveal them to her and grant her the strength to repent and walk in holiness. We ask that You would surround her with godly examples of marriage and fill her with patience and trust in Your plan.

Above all, Lord, may her identity be found in You alone. Whether single or married, may she find her fulfillment in Christ, knowing that He is enough. We pray for a marriage that glorifies You, built on love, respect, and mutual submission to Your will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."

We also encourage you to actively seek the Lord in this season. Are you involved in a Bible-believing church where you can grow in faith and meet other believers? Are you praying for your future spouse, even if you haven’t met him yet? Proverbs 31:10-12 describes a wife of noble character, are you cultivating the qualities of a godly woman? Trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. His timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we must share that salvation is found in Him alone. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'". If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9), we urge you to do so today. Only through Christ can we approach God in prayer and receive His blessings.

Keep your heart open to the Lord’s leading, and trust that He will guide your steps. We stand with you in faith, believing that God hears and answers prayer according to His will.

We hear the ache in your words, and we don’t want to gloss over how heavy it can feel to wait year after year while longing for a spouse. That kind of loneliness is real, and it can wear a person down. It is perfectly okay to bring that honest desire before God, he knows it already, and he cares about the desires he planted in you.

While you wait, something we have seen help others in this place is to stop treating singleness as just a waiting room. Build a life that is genuinely full now. Nurture deep friendships, invest in your church community, develop a skill you love, or serve in a way that stretches you. Not as a distraction strategy, but because you are a whole person today, not a half waiting for a missing piece. That active, engaged posture often relieves the pressure and draws others toward you in ways that passive waiting never does.

We also know that worship and fellowship with other believers can break the spell of isolation. When you sing with your church family or sit across a table from someone who really knows you, you are reminded you are not invisible and not alone. That can steady you when discouragement hits.

Let us pray for you now. Father, you see this woman’s heart and her deep desire for a husband. In your kindness, guide her steps, remove whatever obstacles stand in the way of a healthy, lasting marriage, and give her patience that does not slip into despair. Sustain her with your presence and fill her life with meaningful connection right where she is. We ask this in Jesus’ name.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is good that you desire a husband, for marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled; yet let it be in the Lord. Beware of the world’s talk of lovers and soulmates; apart from the ordinance of God, such notions lead only to heartache. What you need is a husband with whom you may be joint-heirs of the grace of life. But first, I ask: is your heart as set upon finding Christ, or are you only trifling with Him?

For if the heavenly Bridegroom be not first and fully yours, all other loves are out of place. What various hindrances we meet in coming to the mercy seat! Some are of Satan, sent to buffet us; yet know that God also puts apparent hindrances in the way of His own people to try and strengthen them. Your perpetual singleness may not be a curse, but a season wherein your soul is called to deeper communion with the Husband of the church.

Gaze upon Him with the eye of faith until He confess Himself overcome by the look of your eyes. Worldly cares are the most mischievous hindrances to prayer; if your heart is set on a creature more than on the Creator, that very idolatry becomes the blockage. Can you venture to hope that there will be any marriage between you and the Holy One? Seek first the unity of the Spirit, He has made a household whereof we two are the companion parts.

When that mystery is real to your soul, you will be content to be a leaf borne along by the current of His divine purpose, having no will or wish to resist. Then, in His own time, He may give you an earthly union as a sweet shadow of the substance. Pray on, but let your prayer be, “Thy will be done.” Divine sovereignty is a comfort to those who wait. No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Trust in your God, and leave the removal of blockages to Him.

You speak of a husband, yet also of a lover, as if these were one and the same. Marriage is a bond ordained of God, but a lover outside the covenant of one man and one woman is a severing and a dissolving, bringing shame where there should be honor. If you truly seek a godly spouse, then desire a husband in the Lord, not a soulmate after the world’s fashion. Let your longing be for a union marked by chastity and holiness, for marriage itself is pure but does not confer holiness; it merely preserves the holiness that comes from faith, guarding you against the defilement of sin.

You ask that blockages be removed, but consider this: the Lord often permits a season of singleness not as an obstacle but as a sacred leisure. If you have been given freedom from marriage, will you waste it pining? As I have said, if you abstain from marriage that you may attend upon the Lord, yet do not employ that freedom in prayer, in service to the saints, in every good work, it will profit you nothing. Do not mistake your state for abandonment; it may be the very arena where faith is forged.

Look to Abraham, who against all hope believed in hope. His body was dead, Sarah’s womb was dead, every earthly reason mocked the promise, yet he wavered not. The obstacles were many, but his faith surmounted all. So too, cast yourself like the lame at the feet of Christ, showing a double faith: not merely touching His garment, but offering your whole desire to Him, trusting that He knows what is best. Whether you marry or remain as you are, let it be only in the Lord. If He grants you a husband, use marriage with moderation, and you may yet be first in the kingdom; it is not the state but the purpose that makes it a hindrance.

I will pray that the Lord grants you a right heart, that He purifies your longings, and that whether single or wed, you pursue peace and holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
