We hear your heart’s longing for a godly marriage, and we join you in bringing this desire before the Lord. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 19:14, "House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord." Marriage is a sacred gift from God, and we believe He delights in blessing His children with spouses who honor Him and one another.
First, we must address the language in your request. Scripture is clear that marriage is between one man and one woman, and the terms "lover" and "soulmate" can sometimes carry worldly connotations that do not align with God’s design. We encourage you to seek a husband, a covenant partner in Christ, rather than a romanticized idea of love. The world often promotes relationships based on feelings or attraction, but God calls us to build marriages on His Word, mutual faith, and commitment.
If you are currently in a relationship outside of marriage, we must gently but firmly rebuke any sexual intimacy, as Scripture calls this fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18). If you are not yet married, we urge you to pursue purity and godly courtship, keeping physical boundaries until the Lord brings you into a covenant of marriage. If you are already married, we pray for restoration and renewal in your union, that it would reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).
Now, let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author of love and the Giver of every good gift. Lord, You know the desires of this sister’s heart, and we ask that You would align them with Your perfect will. Remove any blockages, whether fear, past hurts, unbelief, or spiritual opposition, that may be hindering her from the godly marriage You have for her. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we break every chain of loneliness or delay in Jesus’ name.
Father, we pray for her future husband, that You would prepare his heart, draw him closer to You, and lead him to her in Your perfect timing. May they both be rooted in Your Word, walking in faith and obedience. If there are areas where she has compromised Your standards, Lord, reveal them to her and grant her the strength to repent and walk in holiness. We ask that You would surround her with godly examples of marriage and fill her with patience and trust in Your plan.
Above all, Lord, may her identity be found in You alone. Whether single or married, may she find her fulfillment in Christ, knowing that He is enough. We pray for a marriage that glorifies You, built on love, respect, and mutual submission to Your will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."
We also encourage you to actively seek the Lord in this season. Are you involved in a Bible-believing church where you can grow in faith and meet other believers? Are you praying for your future spouse, even if you haven’t met him yet? Proverbs 31:10-12 describes a wife of noble character, are you cultivating the qualities of a godly woman? Trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. His timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11).
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we must share that salvation is found in Him alone. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'". If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9), we urge you to do so today. Only through Christ can we approach God in prayer and receive His blessings.
Keep your heart open to the Lord’s leading, and trust that He will guide your steps. We stand with you in faith, believing that God hears and answers prayer according to His will.
