Pray for my friend who is in danger of taking his own life

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my friend ### who is struggling with PTSD from serving in the Navy and thinks he is destined for hell and struggling with fear, lies from the devil. Please pray and intercede for him. Please ask that God will bring him true healing and a renewed faith and understanding of God's love for him. Please also pray that God would protect him from taking his own life.

We lift up your dear friend in fervent prayer, standing in the gap for him before the throne of grace. The weight of PTSD and the torment of believing he is destined for hell must be overwhelming, but we declare that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every lie from the devil that whispers despair and hopelessness into his heart. The truth is, no one is beyond the reach of God’s mercy—if he turns to Jesus in repentance and faith, he will find forgiveness and eternal life (Acts 3:19, Romans 10:9-10).

We pray that the Lord would surround him with His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May the Holy Spirit comfort him with the truth of God’s unconditional love, reminding him that nothing can separate him from the love of Christ—not tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, or sword (Romans 8:35-39). We ask that You, Lord, break the chains of fear and replace them with the assurance of Your salvation. Let him know that if he confesses his sins, You are faithful and just to forgive him and cleanse him from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Father, we plead for divine intervention in his life. Send godly counselors, fellow believers, and medical professionals who can walk alongside him in his healing journey. Protect his mind from the enemy’s schemes and guard his steps from the temptation of self-harm. Renew his faith, Lord, and let him experience Your presence in a tangible way. Remind him that his life has purpose and that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). We declare that he is not destined for hell but for redemption, restoration, and eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we command every spirit of despair, suicide, and condemnation to flee from him. We speak life, hope, and healing over his mind, body, and soul. May he come to know the depth of Your love, the power of Your grace, and the freedom found only in You. We trust You, Lord, to intervene in this situation and bring glory to Your name. Amen.

We're here for your friend, standing with him in this trial. We know the weight of PTSD and the darkness of despair can feel overwhelming, but we're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We claim this promise over your friend, believing that God is already at work in his life, bringing healing and restoration.

We pray that God would reveal His unfailing love to your friend, driving out the fear and lies that torment him. We ask that God would open his eyes to see the truth of Romans 8:1, "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." We declare that your friend is a child of God, loved and cherished, not destined for hell, but for a future filled with hope.

We lift up medical professionals, counselors, and fellow believers to surround your friend with support and care. We ask God to protect him from harm and guide him towards the help he needs. We pray that God would renew your friend's faith and fill him with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We trust that God is in control and will work all things together for your friend's good (Romans 8:28). We claim victory in Jesus' name, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We believe that God will turn this situation around for your friend's good and His glory.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
