We rejoice that you asked in Jesus name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We affirm your faith in calling on His name.

We understand your longing to meet the woman God has for you and to build a love that endures and results in marriage. God Himself said It is not good that the man should be alone Genesis 2:18 and He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22. Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24. We strongly endorse your desire for marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and we encourage you to pursue courtship with the clear goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ.

We encourage you as you wait to seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33 and to delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4. This is a season to be prepared as a godly husband who will love his wife even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25. We counsel you to remain rooted in a Bible believing church, to serve faithfully, to walk in purity, and to make yourself known in wholesome Christian fellowship where a godly wife may be found. We also urge you to guard the courtship in purity, for we are called to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18 and to let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled Hebrews 13:4. True love waits for the covenant of marriage and honors God in body and spirit. Remember also not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14, so seek a woman who truly loves Jesus and will walk with you in faith.

We also hear your prayer for practical ways to get to know each other and for a love that does not give up. God is able to make the way plain and to order your steps, for we know that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above James 1:17 and For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We pray for miracles according to His perfect will and timing, trusting that His timing is good and His provision is sure.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up our brother before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ. It is a good and holy desire you have laid before the Lord, for marriage is His own institution and it is not a less sacred thing to be the married wife or husband than to serve Him in any other calling. We have heard your request and we will bring it before the throne of grace with love in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

Many of the Lord's people have known the loneliness of which you speak, and our Savior Himself knew what it was to be left alone when most as Man He needed human sympathy. He understands your longing for godly companionship. At seasons waiting upon God seems to be in vain, and the heart is ready to faint, but the promise stands that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. May you be kept in godly fear and quiet trust, enabled to say with Job, Though He slay me yet will I trust in Him, receiving both good and trial at the hand of the Lord with a steadfast heart.

We pray for you now, that the Lord in His wise and tender providence would guide your steps and order your path. We join you in prayer with love and thank God for the good desire you have expressed. The longing to love and to be loved within marriage is honorable. Scripture teaches that marriage is honorable and pure, a bond ordained by God, and that chaste and orderly living in marriage preserves the holiness which comes to us through faith in Christ. It is not to be entered lightly or used without purpose, but with moderation, reverence and a sincere purpose to care for one another before the Lord.

As you wait, we encourage you to keep guarding the gift you have received in Christ and to live a life worthy of that gift. This means not only turning from what is evil but being adorned with what is good, growing in faith, in self restraint, in kindness and in service to others. Marriage is helped greatly when both persons have learned to be faithful in ordinary duties, to honor God with their bodies and to seek first His kingdom. Like Isaac, who waited and trusted God, you can use this season to become more rooted in Christ, more established in the church, and more ready to love a wife as Christ loves the church.

We will pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring our brother before You with love. You know his desire to meet the woman You have prepared for him to love and to take as his wife in a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. If it is Your will, lead him to her and lead her to him in Your perfect timing. Make a practical way for them to meet and to get to know one another in a manner that is pure, orderly and full of reverence, surrounded by wise counsel and community, keeping themselves chaste until marriage. Give to both of them sincere interest, patience and perseverance, that they may seek to know one another truly and not give up quickly, but pursue what is good with steadfast love. Above all, let Your will be done and let holiness be preserved. Prepare his heart and her heart to be faithful, humble and ready for the responsibilities of marriage. Grant him peace while he waits, guard him from discouragement, and work miracles in his life according to Your wisdom and mercy, for Your glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Continue to walk faithfully where God has placed you, remain active in the life of the church, serve others, and be open to the ordinary and practical ways God often brings people together through fellowship, service and community. Thank you for sharing your heart and your desire for marriage. It is a good desire. From the beginning God made marriage to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and He still honors that union in this life. The law you read about in Deuteronomy where a brother was to raise up children to preserve a family name shows how much God cares about family, continuity and faithfulness between generations. And when Jesus was questioned about a woman who had been married to seven brothers, He answered that in the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven. He was affirming that the resurrection is real, and also teaching that marriage belongs to this present life as a gift from God to be lived for His glory now, with eternity to be centered on Him.

We have prayed for you in the name of Jesus, asking that if it is His will for you to marry, He will bring into your life a godly woman who loves Him first and who will love you faithfully within that covenant. We have asked that He will make a practical way for you to meet and to get to know one another in a pure and orderly way, with time, counsel and community around you, and that what grows between you would be marked by patience, honesty and commitment, not by pressure or haste.

While you wait, we encourage you to give your first and full devotion to Jesus Himself. One woman showed her love by breaking open a very costly jar of perfume and pouring it all on Him. It seemed wasteful to others, but it was wholehearted worship. Put Jesus first in that same wholehearted way. Seek to know Him, to walk with Him daily, and to be rooted deeply in His Word. Scripture warns that some hear the Word with joy but have no root, and when hardship comes they fall away, and that everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ will face difficulty. Ask God to give you deep roots, so that waiting, disappointment or loneliness does not turn into fault finding or bitterness, but rather forms perseverance and hope in you.

Remember also that every sin is ultimately against God, as David confessed after his sin with Bathsheba and against Uriah. Keeping a clean heart before God, confessing sin quickly and walking in purity will prepare you to love a wife as Christ loves the church. The greatest miracle any of us can receive is salvation through Jesus Christ alone, being forgiven and made new. From that foundation every other blessing, including marriage, finds its right place.

So we pray that God will keep you close to Himself, surround you with faithful believers where you can be known and serve, and in His perfect time and way bring the right relationship if that is His plan for you. We pray that you and the woman He may bring will not give up lightly on one another, but will show the steadfast, enduring love that reflects His covenant love, and that you will both seek His will above your own. May the Lord give you peace as you trust Him, wisdom in each step, and joy in knowing that whether married in this life or rejoicing together in the resurrection, our hope is secure in Him.
