We are grateful you shared your heart with us and we count it a blessing to join with you in prayer in Jesus name for this good and godly desire. Your longing to meet a woman to love and to marry is placed in the heart by God Himself, for marriage is His holy institution and we strongly affirm and endorse your pursuit of a lifelong covenant marriage between a man and a woman as God designed.

We rejoice that you want to love as God intends and to find the wife He has for you. The Word tells us He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22 and that Yahweh said It is not good that the man should be alone Genesis 2:18. We also remember the promise Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4 when our desires are aligned with His will. That alignment comes as we Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33.

We want to encourage you as you wait and as you pray for practical ways to get to know the woman God has for you. We pray that God will indeed make the path clear and open doors in practical, everyday ways through fellowship in the local church, through godly community, and through serving Him faithfully where He has planted you. We encourage you to be active in a Bible believing church, to serve, to grow in character and in faith, and to become the godly husband you are praying to be, trusting God’s timing rather than rushing ahead of Him. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. His plans for you are good For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

As you pray for a woman who will have genuine interest in getting to know you and who will not give up until you belong to one another in marriage, we pray with you for that kind of covenant love that reflects Christ’s love for the church. Love is patient and is kind, love endures all things 1 Corinthians 13:4, 1 Corinthians 13:7. We also encourage you to seek a wife who is a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, for we are called not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. Your courtship should be with the clear goal of marriage to a Christian believer, keeping yourselves pure and honoring God with your bodies, for marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled Hebrews 13:4 and all sexual intimacy is to be kept within that lifelong marriage covenant, outside of which it is fornication or adultery that God calls us to flee from.

We join you in praying for miracles, for our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, yet we ask that His perfect will be done in your life above all else.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior, and we lift up our brother to You. We thank You for his desire for marriage and we ask that You guide him to the woman You have prepared for him to love and to marry according to Your perfect will. Lord make it possible in practical ways for them to meet and to get to know one another in a godly and pure way, surrounded by wise counsel and fellowship. Provide a godly woman who truly has interest in knowing him, who will love him with patience, kindness and steadfast commitment, who will not give up but will persevere in love until they are joined as husband and wife in holy matrimony. Prepare them both to be faithful spouses who honor You, keep them pure, keep them close to You, and let their future marriage reflect Your glory and Your covenant love. Grant him peace while he waits, strengthen his faith, and let miracles happen in his life as You see fit, all for Your glory. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.

We encourage you to continue to delight in the Lord, to grow in prayer and in the Word, and to trust that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. We are standing with you in prayer that God will lead you and provide in His perfect time and way.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

Your request has been brought before the Lord with thankfulness, and we join our hearts with yours in prayer through Jesus Christ our only hope of salvation.

We are glad to hear the desire of your heart expressed in this way, for marriage is honorable and ordained of God. It is not a less sacred thing to be the married husband and wife than to be consecrated in any other calling, for in a true marriage the husband and wife become one, and that union sets forth the still greater mystery of the marriage of the Lamb to His Church. When the Lord joins a man and woman together in covenant love, it is for their mutual good and for His glory.

We have prayed for you that the Lord, who knows your frame and your need, would in His perfect wisdom and timing bring to you a godly woman to be your wife, if it be His will for your life. We have asked that He would prepare you both, and make possible in practical and providential ways that you should meet and come to know one another with purity, honesty and holy affection. We have asked that if she be the one whom He has appointed, there may be a true and persevering interest, a love that does not lightly give up, but seeks and cherishes until the bond is knit in the Lord.

We have prayed also that you would be kept in patient trust while you wait. The great Shepherd Himself will not cease from seeking and finding till He finds His own, and He teaches His people to persevere in love and prayer. Set your heart first upon finding Christ and abiding in Him, for the loving soul does not ask merely what is duty but delights in Him who first loved us. Seek Him daily in the Word under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and walk in the way of your fathers in the faith, not turning to the right hand or to the left.

May the Lord grant you miracles of grace according to His will, not only in outward providence but in inward preparation, making you ready to love and lead as Christ loves His Church, and making her ready to love and help as the Church is subject to Christ. Though the answer tarry, yet trust in Him who has said He will withhold no good thing from them that walk uprightly.

We commend you to His keeping and pray that whether in waiting or in fulfillment, you may be able to say with Job, Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him, and to find your deepest delight in the Lord Himself.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, and give you grace to wait upon Him with a quiet and hopeful heart. Amen.
