Thank you for sharing this request so openly. I have prayed for you in the name of Jesus, asking that the Lord would guide your life and your desire for marriage according to His good will.
The longing you express for a lifelong union of one man and one woman is good and is honored by God. Scripture shows that marriage belongs to this present life. When Jesus was questioned about a woman who had been married to seven brothers under the law of Moses, where a brother was to marry his brother's widow to continue the family name, He answered that in the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven. In saying this He both affirmed that God will raise the dead and taught that marriage is a gift and calling for this life. That helps us see why your desire matters now, and why it is right to seek it in a way that honors God while you are here.
God also shows in that old law from Deuteronomy that He cares about family, continuity, and provision, and that He gives practical ways for people to be joined together and to care for one another. Praying for practical ways to get to know someone when the Lord brings her into your life is therefore very fitting. Ask Him to provide not only the meeting but also healthy, ordinary opportunities to learn who each other truly is, in the presence of other believers, with time, conversation, and wise counsel, keeping purity and keeping the gift of living together within the covenant of marriage itself.
It is also good that you want a relationship that does not give up quickly. Love that endures is part of God's design for marriage. At the same time, a godly relationship grows as two people both choose faithfulness before God day by day. The Scriptures remind us that all sin is ultimately against God, as David confessed after his sin with Bathsheba and against Uriah, and that truth calls us to walk honestly before the Lord in how we pursue marriage. It also reminds us that those who seek to live in a godly way in Christ Jesus will face hardship and pressure, so perseverance will require grace and not only feeling.
There is a temptation when we wait to become critical or to find fault with everyone around us, as the religious leaders did when they watched Jesus and looked for reasons to accuse Him. It is better to ask God to keep your heart free from that spirit, to keep you hopeful, humble, and able to see others with kindness.
I also think of how faith that is nurtured from early on, even from childhood in a home that loves Jesus, is a great blessing, and whether you had that or came to Christ later, the call is the same now to keep growing in trust in Him. He is the only way of salvation, and any good marriage must be built on shared faith in Him.
