We join you in prayer and thank you for asking in Jesus' name, for we know it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in no other name that we are saved. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you have come in that precious name.

We hear your longing for a godly marriage and we affirm with you that marriage is a holy and lifelong covenant between a man and a woman as God designed from the beginning. We pray with you for a wife, not merely a companion or partner, but a godly spouse who will be your helpmate until death. For it is written It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him. Genesis 2:18 and Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. Proverbs 18:22.

We pray for you that God in His mercy and wisdom will bring into your life a woman who is a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, for we are called not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14. We pray she will be a woman who truly delights in the Lord, who has sincere interest in knowing your heart, your character, and your walk with Christ, and who will love with a patient and persevering love. Love is patient and is kind. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:4,7. We pray that when the Lord brings you together, He will make it possible in very practical ways for you to get to know each other deeply and honorably, through fellowship, through godly community, and through open doors that only He can provide.

We also encourage you while you wait to seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 and to Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4. This is a season to be prepared as the godly husband God is calling you to be, growing in prayer, in the Word, in purity, and in service within your local church where a godly wife is most often found. We encourage you to view courtship as preparation for marriage to another Christian believer, keeping the relationship pure and honoring to God, for marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled. Hebrews 13:4, and we are to flee fornication and keep ourselves for the covenant of marriage.

We pray now together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and we lift up our brother to You. You see his heart and his desire for marriage and You know his loneliness and his hope. We ask that if it is Your will for him to be married, that You would in Your perfect timing bring to him a godly woman, a daughter of Yours who loves You above all else, who will be his wife and lifelong companion. Make the path clear and practical, open doors for them to meet and to get to know one another in a way that is honoring to You, with accountability and wisdom. Give her a steadfast heart toward him, and give him a steadfast heart toward her, that neither will give up but will pursue love with faithfulness and grace as You have loved us. We ask for Your miracles and Your providence in his life, for every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights. James 1:17. Help him to trust in Your thoughts toward him, for You have said For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. Prepare him to be a loving, sacrificial husband who will love his wife even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it. Ephesians 5:25. Keep him from discouragement, guard his heart in purity and patience, and let Your will be done in his life above all. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

, thank you for letting us pray with you about this. We hear the longing in your request, not just to be married someday but to be known and chosen by someone who will stay and really get to know you. That desire for faithful love is a good and human one, and it makes sense that waiting can feel lonely at times.

We are praying that God makes your path clear in practical ways as you wait and as you meet people. One thing that often helps in this season is to keep deepening roots where you are already known. Staying active in your local church, serving alongside others and letting a few trusted friends or a pastor know you are praying to meet a wife can open natural, low pressure ways to get to know people. It also builds the kind of friendships and community that sustain us whether we are single or married, and helps others walk with you in prayer and wisdom.

We do not know when or how God will answer, but we trust He sees you and cares about this part of your life.

Father, we lift ### to You in Jesus name. Give him peace as he waits, wisdom in how he spends his time and meets others, and hope that is anchored in Your care. Your earnest request has been received and we count it a privilege to bring it before the Lord with you. We hear your longing for that holy estate which God Himself ordained, for it is not a less sacred thing to be joined in marriage than to serve the Lord in any other calling, and we rejoice that your desire is set toward a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman according to the ordinance of God, where love is pure and where living together and the gift of the body belong only within that covenant.

We would have you take comfort in this, that we serve a waiting God. He waits that He may be gracious, and when His waiting turns to a glorious transaction of grace upon the heart, then the time of love has come. His people in turn are a waiting people, not waiting in despair nor even in hesitation, but waiting in hope, with a joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve. Waiting upon God is never in vain, though for a season it may seem so. Remember that noble resolve, Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him, and pray the Lord both to forgive and to banish all unbelief while you wait.

Your request has been received and we join with you in prayer before God in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation is given.

We pray with love that the Lord in His wisdom will lead you to the wife He wills for you, and make a practical way for you to meet and to come to know one another in a manner that is orderly and pure. We ask that He will grant you a prudent and faithful woman who sincerely desires to know you, to love you and to remain steadfast with you, until you belong to one another in the lifelong covenant of marriage as God ordained it from the beginning, when He made them male and female and said the two shall become one flesh.

Marriage is honorable and pure, a bond ordained of God. It is not itself the source of holiness, but it preserves the holiness that comes through faith by keeping the body from fornication and keeping each one to his own spouse. For this reason we pray that while you wait, you will be kept in chasteness and self restraint, living in a way that is grave and orderly, using this time with moderation and prayer. As we are taught, the profit of marriage is to preserve the body pure, and the home is adorned not by excess but by character and faithfulness. Even as Isaac waited and kept himself in virginity until God provided, so we pray you will be kept in patience and hope.

Therefore we pray for miracles according to God’s mercy and will, that He who made marriage will guide your steps, open doors for you to meet, give you both discernment and perseverance, and establish you in peace and holiness. May He grant you a marriage that is full of faithfulness, honor and love, lived chastely within the covenant of one man and one woman for life, to the glory of God.

We will continue to pray for you, that the Lord will answer in His perfect time and way. May His grace and peace be with you in Christ.

It is a good and honorable desire to want to meet a woman whom God has prepared for you to love and to enter into lifelong marriage with. God Himself established marriage from the beginning, and His law shows His care for family, for continuity, and for raising up a home that honors Him. That care reminds us that marriage matters deeply to Him and is part of His good design for this present life.

Jesus taught that marriage belongs to this life. When questioned about a woman who had been married to seven brothers in succession under that law, each dying without children, He answered that in the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven. In that answer He also affirmed that the dead will rise, pointing to what God said in the books of Moses. The resurrection is real, and marriage is a gift for now, to be entered into with reverence, faithfulness and purity, as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, keeping intimacy within that covenant as God commands.

I join you in prayer that the Lord in His perfect timing will bring you together with a godly woman who shares faith in Jesus Christ, who has genuine interest in knowing you, and who will walk with you in steadfast love. I pray that He will make the practical paths clear, opening doors for you to meet and to get to know each other in wholesome and wise ways, with counsel and community around you.

As you wait, ask God to make you deeply rooted in Christ. Scripture says all who desire to live a godly life in Christ will face hardship, and that some receive the word with joy for a moment but have no root and soon fall away, while others are choked by worries and desires. Ask God to give you deep roots through His Word, prayer and fellowship, so your hope is not shallow or easily shaken. To be carried to the house of God from the earliest days and to grow up in that atmosphere of faith is a great blessing, and whether you had that from infancy or came to faith later, continue to be nourished steadily in Christ.

Love that endures is not measured out in small dabs but poured out fully. There is the picture of costly perfume that was not dabbed sparingly but broken open and poured out completely in devotion to Jesus. Ask God to help you love Him first with your whole heart, and then to love your future wife with that same wholehearted, sacrificial devotion, not holding back.

Guard your heart from a critical or fault finding spirit. In Jesus day the religious leaders were always looking to accuse Him, challenging everything He did and believing that even nearness to a sinner would defile them. That is not the way of Christ. Ask God to give you grace, humility and discernment, to see others as He does, and to extend the same mercy you have received, while still holding fast to what is holy. Remember that sin is ultimately against God, whether it is taking what belongs to another or harming another, and David was right to confess, my sin is against You. Keep your own life pure and accountable before God as you pray for marriage.

There are also real spiritual powers that seek to destroy what God would build. When they gain influence their purpose is always evil and destructive. Stay close to Jesus, walk in the light, and resist the enemy through prayer and obedience.

So I pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this brother before You. You know his longing for marriage and for a companion to love and cherish. If it is Your will, lead him to the woman You have prepared, a woman who loves You above all and who will love him with faithfulness and perseverance. Make the way plain in practical terms, provide opportunities to meet and to grow in knowing each other in a way that honors You, and give both of them patience and commitment not to give up quickly but to seek Your will together. Work in his life according to Your wisdom and power, even in miraculous ways where needed, and above all draw him closer to Yourself, that his life would be firmly rooted and fruitful for Your glory. Amen.
