Your prayer request is heard and I thank you for sharing this desire of your heart so openly. The longing to love and to be loved in marriage is a good and holy desire that God Himself placed within us.
Scripture shows us that marriage belongs to this present life. There was a law given through Moses that if a man died without children, his brother was to take his wife and raise up children to carry on the family name. That law was practical and caring, it showed that God is concerned not only with spiritual things but with family, provision, and the practical ways people are joined together and cared for. When some tried to trap Jesus with a story about a woman who had been married to seven brothers in succession, asking whose wife she would be in the resurrection, Jesus answered clearly that in the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven. In doing so He also affirmed that the dead will rise, pointing back to the book of Moses where God revealed Himself as the God of the living.
What this means for you is that marriage is a gift God has given for this life, and He understands the practical needs that go with it. It is right to ask Him not only for a wife, but for the practical ways to meet and to truly get to know one another in a way that honors Him. It is right to ask for a relationship that is built on genuine interest, faithfulness, and commitment that does not give up, because biblical love and biblical marriage are meant to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, marked by steadfastness.
I will pray for you in the name of Jesus, that the Lord in His wisdom and timing would bring into your life the woman He has for you, a woman who loves Him first and who will love you with sincere and faithful love. I will pray that He makes the meeting and the getting to know one another possible in real and practical ways, opening doors that only He can open, and that He would be working in both of your hearts even now to prepare you for that covenant. I will pray for miracles, because God is able to do what we cannot do, and yet He often works His miracles through ordinary, practical provision, guidance, and growth in character.
While you wait, continue to seek Him and to live in a way that honors Him. Those who seek to live in a godly way in Christ will face difficulties and testing, but God uses those seasons to deepen roots and to form character. Ask Him to make you the husband He wants you to be, faithful, patient, pure, and loving, trusting Him rather than becoming discouraged or critical. His timing is perfect and His care for you is personal.
