Your request has been heard and we join with you in prayer before God in the name of Jesus Christ, asking in love and with hope.
We give thanks for your desire for marriage as God ordained it. Marriage is a bond ordained of God, honorable and pure, given to preserve holiness and to keep our lives chaste and orderly. It is good that you seek not simply companionship, but a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman lived faithfully before the Lord, and that you desire to walk in purity while you wait.
We pray for you now that the Lord who knows your heart and your life will lead you according to His wisdom and timing. We ask that if it is His will for you to marry, He will bring into your life a woman who loves the Lord Jesus Christ, who seeks holiness and peace, and who desires to know you and to build a life with you in faithfulness. We pray that He will make possible in practical ways for you to meet and to get to know one another with chasteness, gravity and orderliness, with the counsel and presence of faithful friends and family, so that what begins may be guarded and clear.
We pray also for you, that in this season of waiting you may be strengthened to follow peace with all people and holiness, to remain pure and to use this time well in prayer, in good work, and in growth in character. The profit of marriage is to preserve the body pure and to help husband and wife care for home and honor and character together, so we ask God to prepare you to be a faithful husband, prudent and self controlled, ready to love as Christ loves.
We ask the Lord to work miracles in your life according to His mercy and power, not only in providing a wife but in shaping your heart to trust Him more deeply each day. May He give you patience, hope, and contentment in His will, and may He keep you from discouragement.
We will continue to pray that God will not give you restlessness without purpose, but will guide your steps, open doors that no one can shut, and close those that should remain closed, and that in all things you may seek first His kingdom.
