Please continue to pray for me to meet a woman God wants me to love and marry and pray God makes it possible in practical ways to get to know each other when we meet. We hear your longing to meet the woman God wants you to love and to marry, and we rejoice that you desire marriage as God designed it. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, instituted by God for His glory. Genesis 2:24 says, Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. Proverbs 18:22 says, Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. This is a good and holy desire, and we pray God will lead you to a godly wife, a Christian believer who loves the Lord with all her heart, so that you may be equally yoked together. 2 Corinthians 6:14 reminds us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity. We encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage, not simply companionship, and to keep that courtship pure and honoring to God. Hebrews 13:4 says, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled. This means we are to abstain from sex before and outside of marriage, which is fornication, and to pursue love that is patient, selfless and holy as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

We also hear your prayer for practical ways to get to know each other and for a woman who will show genuine interest and persevering love. We pray that God will not only bring you together in His timing but will also provide the practical open doors, the community, the church fellowship and the opportunities for godly friendship to grow into love. We encourage you while you wait to delight yourself in the Lord and to seek His kingdom first. Psalm 37:4 says, Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Matthew 6:33 says, But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. As you seek Him, He is preparing you to be the loving, sacrificial husband He calls you to be, as Ephesians 5:25 says, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. We encourage you to be active in your local church, in service and in fellowship, growing in faith and character, trusting that God knows the best time and place. Jeremiah 29:11 says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

We pray together for miracles in your life according to God's will, knowing that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we have access to You and no other name by which we are saved. We thank You for this brother and for the godly desire for marriage You have placed in his heart. We ask in Jesus name that You lead him to the woman You have chosen for him to love and to marry, a woman who is a faithful believer, who loves You above all else. We pray You make it possible in practical ways for them to meet and to get to know each other in a pure, honest and God honoring way. Give them a godly courtship that honors You, with patience, kindness and self control, keeping themselves pure until marriage. We pray You give him and her genuine interest in one another, a steadfast commitment rooted in Your love that does not give up easily but perseveres through getting to know each other with grace and truth. Prepare them both now, grow them in faith, maturity and holiness, and let Your will be done in Your perfect timing. Work miracles in his life for Your glory, open doors no man can shut, and let Your peace guard his heart as he waits on You. We trust You to provide all he needs. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

As you worship and serve alongside others, friendships deepen and character is seen, and often that is where people come to know each other naturally. It can also help to let a couple of trusted, mature believers in your church know your hope for marriage so they can pray with you specifically and keep an eye out as they get to know you.

We are asking God to lead you clearly, to grow you in hope and peace while you wait, and to open the right doors in His timing for you to meet and truly get to know one another.

Your desire for a wife to love and to cherish in the holy covenant of marriage is comely and of the Lord, for marriage was ordained by God from the beginning to be the lifelong union of one man and one woman, and it is right and good to seek it in prayer and to wait upon Him for it.

We have heard your request and we will bring it before the throne of grace. Remember that there is a waiting God and there must be a waiting people. All things are ready on His part, and He waits to be gracious, and blessed are all they that wait for Him. Your expectation must be from Him alone. My soul, wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from Him. Do not look to the arm of flesh nor to chance, but cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. He knows your loneliness and your longing, and He who provided for Adam in the garden knows how to provide for you.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, who alone is the way of salvation, we bring this our brother before Thy mercy seat. Thou knowest his desire to love and to be loved within the holy estate which Thou hast ordained. If it be Thy will, lead him in Thy providence to a godly woman who loves Thee above all, that they may come to know one another in purity and truth, and be joined together to serve Thee. Make the way plain in practical things, order his steps and hers, and grant that their interest may be steadfast and true, not lightly given nor lightly withdrawn, but rooted in Thy love. Work, we pray Thee, what man cannot work, for with Thee nothing is impossible, and do all things according to Thy wise and loving will. Keep him from fainting while he waits. Let him remember Thee when his soul is cast down within him, and find his refuge in the bosom of Christ.

Take courage and faint not. The fear of the Lord brings strong confidence, for they that fear God know Him to be infinitely loving, immutable and unsearchably wise, and omnipotently strong on their behalf. He has not forgotten you. Though trials press and the way seems long, He that has loved you will not leave you nor forsake you. Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass in His own good time and manner. Continue in prayer, walk in holiness, and serve Him faithfully where He has placed you, and leave the ordering of your life in His hands who does all things well.
