Thank you for sharing your honest desire for marriage. It is good and right to bring this before the Lord, and to want a love that honors Him. God Himself established marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and He intends that love, faithfulness, and physical union belong within that covenant alone.
Scripture helps us see the purpose and the limits of marriage. In the law given through Moses, there was a provision that if a man died without children, his brother was to marry the widow to preserve the family name and inheritance. That is why you read of a family that left their homeland for Moab, where the two sons married and then died without children, leaving the family line in danger of ending. Later, some tried to trap Jesus with a similar case, asking about a woman who had been married to seven brothers in turn, each dying without children, and whose wife she would be in the resurrection. Jesus answered that the resurrection is real, and He pointed them to the book of Moses to affirm it, but He also taught that when people rise from the dead they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like the angels in heaven. Marriage is a gift for this life. It is not carried into eternity in the same form, which makes it all the more precious and purposeful now, and it reminds us to seek a union that is centered on Christ and on eternity.
A desire like yours needs deep roots. The Scripture warns that those who live a godly life in Christ Jesus will face hardship, and that some hear the word with joy at first but have no root and fall away when pressure comes, while others are choked by cares and desires. I pray that while you wait, God will deepen your roots in Him, so that your faith is not shallow or easily shaken, but grounded in His word, in prayer, and in walking faithfully day by day. Growing up in a home where Christ is believed and followed from childhood is a great blessing, but whether that was your story or not, what matters now is a personal, living trust in Jesus Christ, for salvation is through Him alone.
As you pray for a wife, ask God to keep you from a critical and fault finding spirit. The religious leaders in the days of Jesus watched Him constantly to find fault with everything He did, and they believed that even nearness to a sinner could defile them. That kind of heart makes love impossible. King David, when he sinned by taking another man's wife and then having her husband killed, confessed that his sin was ultimately against God, because he had broken God's clear commands not to commit adultery and not to murder. A godly marriage needs the opposite spirit, one that is gracious, honest about sin, quick to confess to God, and quick to extend mercy to one another.
Pray also that the love you hope to give and receive will be wholehearted. There is the picture in the Gospels of a woman who did not offer a small dab of perfume, but broke the jar and poured all of its costly contents upon Jesus. It seemed extravagant to others, but it was an act of complete devotion. That is the kind of love that sustains a covenant, not holding back, but offering yourself fully in loyalty and service within marriage.
Be aware as well that there is real spiritual opposition in this world. When evil powers gain influence over lives, their work is always to destroy and to tear down what God calls good. Marriage is one of the things they seek to distort and damage. Therefore keep your heart guarded in Christ, stay close to Him, and seek a relationship that is built on His truth rather than on mere feelings or on the promise of miracles on your own terms.

I pray that if it is His will, He will bring into your life in His perfect way and timing a woman who loves Him first, who desires to know you, to persevere with you, and to enter with you into the lifelong covenant of marriage as one man and one woman, with purity and faithfulness until you belong fully to one another. I pray He will make the practical ways to meet and to get to know one another clearly possible, and that He will give you both wisdom, patience, and steadfastness to not give up easily but to build trust. I pray above all that He will work His greatest miracle in you both, which is a deeper faith in Jesus Christ, and that any other miracles you need will come according to His wise and loving will. May the Lord keep you, guide you, and give you peace as you trust Him.
