Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and your desire for marriage. That desire itself is good and comes from God, for He created marriage from the beginning as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and He said it is good when a man finds a wife and obtains favor from the Lord.
I have prayed for you in the name of Jesus, that the Lord in His love and wisdom would lead you to the woman He has for you, if it is His will for you to marry, and that He would make the way clear in practical ways for you to meet and truly get to know one another in a godly and pure manner. I have asked that He would bring someone who genuinely loves Him first, who has real interest in knowing you, and who will show faithful, patient love as you both seek Him together. Marriage and living together and physical intimacy belong within that covenant alone, so pray that your relationship from the first meeting would be marked by holiness, honesty, and self control that honors Christ.
Remember that God cares deeply about marriage and family. In the law of Moses He made provision to preserve a family name when a husband died without children, showing His concern for faithfulness across generations. When Jesus was questioned about a woman who had been married to seven brothers, He answered that marriage belongs to this present life. In the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven. He then affirmed that God is the God of the living, not of the dead, and that He has power to raise the dead. That same power is at work in your life today. What seems impossible or closed to you is not impossible for Him. He is able to do miracles and to open doors that no person can open.
While you wait, keep your roots deep in Christ. The Scripture says that those who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will face hardship and waiting, and without deep roots faith can wither. Let this season be a time to grow strong in the Word, in prayer, in fellowship with other believers, and in serving. Be active in the life of the church where you can be known and where you can know others in natural, accountable ways. Seek counsel from mature believers who know you and can speak wisely into your life.
I pray that God would give you patience and hope, that you would not be discouraged, and that you would keep your eyes on Jesus rather than on criticism or fear. Ask the Lord to prepare you to be the husband He wants you to be, faithful, kind, humble, and ready to love and lead as Christ loves the church. And ask Him to prepare her as well, wherever she is.
May the Lord grant you peace as you trust Him, guide your steps day by day, and in His perfect time and way bring about what is best for you and most glorifying to Him. May He keep you close to Himself, which is the greatest miracle of all, to know that you belong to the living God who hears your prayers through His Son.
