We have heard your request and we join you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to God.

We pray with love that the Lord in His wisdom and mercy will lead you to the woman He wills for you to love and to marry, if it is His will for you to marry, and that He will make a practical way for you to meet and to get to know one another in a right and orderly manner. We pray that He will give you both a sincere interest in knowing each other, patience and steadfastness to not give up quickly, and grace to build a relationship that honors Him.

We pray that God will work in your life according to His good will, and that any miracles He does will draw you closer to Christ and to a life worthy of His gift. Scripture teaches that marriage is honorable and is a bond ordained by God, and that it preserves holiness when it is lived in faith, chastity and faithfulness, with sex and living together belonging only within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. So we pray that you will be kept in holiness and purity as you wait, that you will seek first to follow Christ faithfully, and that if God provides a wife, you will love her as Christ loves the Church and live with her in gravity, orderliness and mutual respect.

We ask that God will give you peace while you wait, wisdom to discern His leading, and a community around you to support and counsel you. May the Lord guide your steps, guard your heart, and fulfill His purposes for you in His perfect time. Amen.

Your desire for marriage is a good desire and I thank you for sharing it so honestly so we can pray with you in love and in the name of Jesus.

God Himself established marriage and Scripture shows His care for it. In the law of Moses, God provided even for a family name to be preserved when a husband died without children, which shows how seriously He takes covenant and family. Jesus later taught that marriage belongs to this present life, for in the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage but will be like the angels in heaven. That truth helps us see that the opportunity to enter a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman is given to us now, and it is right to seek it according to God's will while we are here.

I will pray that the Lord, if it is His will for you to marry, will bring into your life a woman who loves Jesus Christ above all and who desires that same lifelong covenant with you. I will pray that He makes a practical and pure way for you to meet and to get to know one another in a manner that honors Him, with accountability, patience and clear boundaries where physical intimacy is kept within marriage alone.

While you wait, I encourage you to be rooted deeply in Christ. Scripture warns that some hear with joy but have no root and soon fade, and it also promises that all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will know hardship. Waiting for marriage can feel long and discouraging, but God uses that time to build depth, steadiness and character, so that love is not built only on a moment of excitement but on a firm foundation in Him.

Ask the Lord to make you a man who loves sacrificially. There is the picture in the Gospels of a woman who did not dab out a little perfume but broke the jar and poured it all out on Jesus. That kind of wholehearted, costly love is the pattern for covenant love, giving fully rather than holding back. And ask Him to keep you from a critical and fault finding spirit. The religious leaders in Jesus' day watched for faults in others, yet Jesus showed that sin is a matter of the heart before God and calls us to grace and truth. In getting to know someone, look with grace, speak honestly, and seek to build up rather than to tear down.

A godly home is a great blessing. To be raised from infancy in the knowledge of Jesus and carried faithfully to worship is a mercy, and to build a home centered on Christ is a worthy aim. Pray not only for a wife, but for the kind of home you hope to build together, one where Christ is confessed and followed from the beginning.

So let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ who alone is the way of salvation, I bring this brother before You. You know his longing to love and to be loved in marriage. If it is Your good will, lead him to the woman You have for him, a woman of genuine faith who will have real interest in knowing him and who will persevere in love. Provide the practical means for them to meet and to grow in knowledge of one another in purity and wisdom, surrounded by godly counsel. Guard them from evil and destructive influences and keep them close to You. Work miracles according to Your perfect will, and above all make him content and rooted in You while he waits, trusting that You do all things well. Amen.

May the Lord give you peace as you trust Him, and may He guide your steps day by day.
