We have heard your request and we join with you in prayer in Jesus name for God to bring into your life the woman He has chosen for you to love and to marry. We rejoice that your desire is for marriage as God designed it, a lifelong covenant commitment between a man and a woman, and that you are seeking His will and His timing rather than simply your own wishes.

We find great encouragement in scripture that God understands this desire. It is written that it is not good that the man should be alone and that He will make a helper suitable for him Genesis 2:18, and that whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22. We also remember that a prudent wife is from Yahweh Proverbs 19:14 and that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights James 1:17. We pray that you will find such a good gift in the Lord's perfect time. We take comfort that God knows the plans He has for you, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

As we pray for you to meet her, we also pray for your preparation and hers. We encourage you to continue to delight yourself in Yahweh and to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will give you the desires of your heart as they align with His will Psalm 37:4, Matthew 6:33. We encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, for we are called not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. A godly marriage is built on shared faith in Jesus, mutual love, patience and perseverance. Love is patient and is kind, love bears all things and endures all things 1 Corinthians 13:4, 1 Corinthians 13:7. We pray that the woman God sends will have genuine interest in knowing your heart, that she will be faithful and not give up, and that you will show that same steadfast Christlike love to her. We also encourage you to remain pure and to honor God with your body, reserving the gift of physical intimacy for marriage alone, for God calls us to flee from fornication and to honor marriage 1 Corinthians 6:18, Hebrews 13:4. We pray that your courtship will be marked by holiness, honesty, and clear communication.

We lift you up now together before the Father.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we thank You for this brother and for his desire for a godly marriage. We ask that in Your mercy and wisdom You will lead him to the woman You have prepared for him. Make it possible in practical ways for them to meet and to get to know one another in a godly and wholesome way. Give them opportunities for fellowship, conversation, and counsel, perhaps through Your church, through family and community, and through open doors that only You can provide. Grant them both discernment to recognize Your hand and courage to pursue what is right. We pray for miracles in his life according to Your perfect will, not for our glory but for Yours, and we pray that You will keep him and his future wife pure, patient, and centered on Christ while they wait. Help him to grow daily in faith, character, and love, so that he will be ready to be the husband You have called him to be. Let Your peace guard his heart as he trusts in You and let him not be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let his requests be made known to You Philippians 4:6. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life and through whom we have access to You John 14:6. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with other believers. Continue to be active in your local church and in service to the Lord, for it is often as we are faithfully serving Him that He brings the right relationships into our lives. Trust His timing, for His timing is perfect, and He is faithful to provide what is best for those who love Him.

Your request has been brought before the Lord with love and we join with you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

We are glad to hear your desire for marriage according to the ordinance of God, for it is not a less sacred thing to be the married wife or the married husband than to be consecrated in singleness, and marriage as God has ordained it, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, is honorable and to be sought with a pure heart. The Lord who ordained marriage knows your longing and your loneliness, and He is a waiting God who waits to be gracious. There is a final success to all His waiting when His love is revealed in His own time and way.

You ask that God would make it possible in practical ways to get to know the one He has for you, and that He would send one who has true interest and steadfast love. We pray that He will keep you in that posture described as a waiting people, not waiting in despair nor even in hesitation, but waiting in hope, a joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve. Waiting upon God is never in vain, though at times it may seem so to the fainting soul. Therefore labor and faint not, but continue in prayer and in purity, in diligence in your calling and in faithfulness to Christ, trusting that when the time of love has come, He will order your steps and hers.

Do not let your spirit be eaten away by impatience or discouragement, as even godly men have been tempted to steal away and faint in heart. Remember that noble resolve, Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him. The Lord hears the prayer of the waiting heart and He withholds no good thing from those who walk uprightly, yet His miracles are wrought according to His wisdom and not merely our haste.

O Lord our God, Father of mercies, we come before Thee in the name of Jesus Thy Son, our only Saviour. Thou knowest this Thy servant and his desire for a wife to love and to cherish in holy marriage. If it be Thy will, lead him in Thy providence to the woman whom Thou hast prepared, one who loves Christ above all and who will walk with him in faith. Make the way plain in practical things, that they may meet and come to know one another with honesty, modesty and godly wisdom. Keep them both pure and keep their affections under Thy holy rule, that all their acquaintance may be in the light and to Thy glory. Grant that if Thou providest such a union, it may be as one man and one woman joined for life, to help one another to heaven and to serve Thee together. Give him patience to wait upon Thee and strength not to faint, and work in his life those miracles of grace which Thou seest best, for our good and for Thy praise. Forgive his sins and ours through the blood of Christ, and banish all unbelief, that we may trust Thee fully. Hear us, O waiting God, for Jesus sake. Amen.

We thank you for sharing your prayer request and we join with you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ with love.

We pray that God in His wisdom and goodness will lead you to the woman He wills for you to love and to marry, that He will make a practical way for you to meet and to come to know one another in a manner that is orderly and pure, and that He will work miracles in your life according to His will. We pray that He will bring to you a wife who has a sincere and steadfast interest in knowing you, who will show faithful love and commitment, until you belong to one another in the bond of marriage.

Scripture teaches that marriage is honorable and pure, a bond ordained by God. It is not holiness itself, but it preserves the holiness that comes through faith by keeping us from fornication and from union with what is impure, and calls us to live chastely and in an orderly way with our own wife. Marriage is like a sweet ointment that should be kept free from what is foul, and everything in it should be marked by chasteness, gravity and order. Its profit is to preserve the body pure and to guard honor and character, as a man leaves his father and is joined to his wife in love.

While you wait, we encourage you to keep guarding the good treasure you have received through faith in Christ, living a life worthy of that gift, not only turning from evil but being adorned with what is good. Marriage is not an impure state, but it is a state of much responsibility and care, and it is right to seek it with patience and prayer, trusting that God sees your desire.

So we pray that the Lord will keep you in purity and hope, that He will guide your steps, that He will prepare both you and the woman He has for you, and that when He brings you together He will establish you in a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, faithful and fruitful unto God. May He grant you wisdom to get to know one another in a way that honors Him, with the presence and counsel of reverent brothers and sisters, and may He give you peace as you trust His timing.
