Please continue to pray for me to meet a woman God wants me to love and marry and pray God makes it possible in practical ways to get to know each other when we meet. We join together with you in this desire and we rejoice that you are seeking a wife in a way that honors God and that you have asked in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We affirm your longing for marriage as good and godly. From the beginning Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him. Genesis 2:18 and Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. Proverbs 18:22. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God, and we pray with you not for a casual relationship or merely a partner, but for a godly wife and for a marriage that will glorify Him. We also encourage you to pursue courtship with marriage as the clear goal, with a fellow believer in Christ, for Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14. And we encourage you to guard purity, to keep the marriage bed undefiled as Hebrews 13:4 teaches, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers, saving intimacy for the covenant of marriage alone.

We bring your specific requests before the Lord together.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up our brother to Your throne of grace. You know his heart, his loneliness, and his desire to love and to be loved within holy marriage. We ask that You lead him to the woman You have prepared for him, a woman who loves You first, who will have genuine interest in knowing him, pursuing him, and persevering with him in faith and love. Make the meeting and the getting to know each other possible in practical ways, opening doors that no man can shut, providing time, place, and community for their paths to cross and for their hearts to be revealed to one another. We ask for miracles in his life, for You are the God who does wonders and for whom nothing is impossible. Jeremiah 32:17 says Ah Lord Yahweh, behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you. Let Your will be done in Your perfect timing. Help him to wait with courage and strength while You prepare both him and his future wife. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to delight yourself in the Lord while you wait. Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 and But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33. Waiting is not passive. We encourage you to be active in faithful Christian fellowship, in service, in prayer and in the Word, becoming the godly husband that a godly wife will need. Love is patient and is kind, it does not envy, does not brag, is not proud, bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:4,7. Ask the Lord to cultivate that kind of love in you now, so that when you meet her, you will be ready to love her as Christ loves the church.

We also pray that God gives you peace as you wait and discernment to recognize His leading. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6. And Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Psalm 27:14. We trust that God knows the thoughts He thinks toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. We continue to stand with you, asking God to fulfill this prayer in His way and His time, and to make His will clear to you both when He brings you together, that you may not give up on each other until you are hers and she is yours in holy marriage.

We have brought your request before the Lord with love and in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope of salvation.

We pray for you, that the Lord in His wise and gracious providence would guide your steps and order your path. Marriage is a sacred thing, and to be joined as husband and wife is honorable in the sight of God, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. We ask that if it be His will for you to marry, He would in His own time and way bring into your life a godly woman suited to walk beside you in faith, one who loves the Lord Jesus first and will love you faithfully within that holy bond.

We pray also for those practical ways you mention, that the Lord would open doors of honest and orderly acquaintance, giving opportunity for true knowledge of character and growth in Christian love, with purity and patience. We ask that He would give you a heart to wait upon Him, for we have a waiting God who waits to be gracious, and His people are a waiting people. They are not waiting in despair, nor even in hesitation, they are waiting in hope, a joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve. There is a final success to all this waiting when it turns to a glorious transaction of grace upon the heart.

While you wait, we pray you may not faint. The way of waiting can feel long, and the heart can grow weary, but the Lord renews the strength of those who wait upon Him. We pray He would keep you laboring and not fainting, diligent in the work He has given you today, growing in Christ, rooted in His Word, faithful in prayer and in the fellowship of His people. May He prepare you even now to be a faithful and tender husband, as you would desire a faithful wife to be.

We do pray for miracles, yet we pray most of all that you may say with Job, Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him, content to receive from the hand of the Lord what He sees best, trusting His love even when His answer tarries or comes otherwise than you expect.

May the Lord grant you contentment in Him today, hope for tomorrow, and full submission to His perfect will. We continue to remember you in prayer, asking that Christ Himself would be your portion and your comfort until and beyond the day He may be pleased to answer this desire.
