We hear your heart’s longing for a godly wife, and we join you in lifting this desire before the Lord in Jesus’ name. First, we want to affirm your commitment to seeking a wife rather than merely a relationship. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God for mutual love, companionship, and the reflection of Christ’s relationship with His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that God would prepare your heart to be a husband who leads with love, humility, and devotion, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her.
We also lift up the qualities you desire in a wife, one who is persistent in her pursuit of knowing you, steadfast in her faith, and aligned with God’s will. Proverbs 18:22 reminds us, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord." We pray that God would bring you a woman of noble character, as described in Proverbs 31, who fears the Lord and walks in His ways. May she be someone who shares your values, your faith, and your vision for a marriage that honors God.
However, we must also gently remind you to guard your heart against placing undue emphasis on emotional or physical attraction alone.
