Beloved of All
We have received your request and we join with you in prayer before our Father in Jesus name.
We pray that God in His wisdom and love will guide you to the wife He desires for you, a woman who loves the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart and who seeks to follow Him faithfully. Marriage is a bond ordained by God and it is honorable and pure. It preserves holiness when it is lived in chasteness and orderliness and faith. We ask the Lord to keep you in that holiness now as you wait, guarding the treasure of grace you have received and living a life worthy of it, bringing forth fruit unto God.
We pray that the Lord will make a practical way for you to meet and to come to know one another in a manner that is decent and orderly, with the presence and counsel of mature and reverend brothers and sisters, and with gravity and sincerity rather than lightness. We pray that if it is His will He will give you both clear interest in one another, steadfastness and patience to get to know one another truly, and love that is patient and kind and seeks the good of the other.
We also pray that God will prepare you both for this calling, that you may follow peace with all people and pursue holiness, keeping your body pure and your heart fixed on Christ. Whether He answers quickly or calls you to a longer season of waiting, we pray that you will trust His timing and His goodness, knowing that He withholds no good thing from those who walk uprightly.
We will continue to pray for you, that God will work in your life according to His perfect will and that He will be glorified in all things. May He grant you wisdom, purity, hope and joy as you seek Him first, and may whatever He brings to pass be for your holiness and for His glory.
