We hear your heart’s longing for a godly wife, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this desire before the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures tell us, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). This promise is not a guarantee of instant fulfillment but an invitation to trust God’s timing and His perfect will for your life. We pray that as you seek Him first, He will align your desires with His and bring the woman He has prepared for you into your life.

Father God, we come before You with this prayer for our brother. Lord, You know the deepest longings of his heart, and we ask that You would prepare him for the wife You have chosen for him. Give him patience and wisdom as he waits, and help him to grow in faith, character, and love for You during this season. We pray that You would bring a woman into his life who loves You above all else, a woman of godly virtue, kindness, and strength. May she be someone who shares his faith, values, and commitment to building a Christ-centered marriage. Lord, open doors for them to meet in practical and natural ways, and give them both the courage and humility to get to know one another with purity and intentionality.

We also lift up the desire for "miracles" in his life. Lord, we know that You are a God of miracles, but we ask that Your will be done above all else. Help him to trust in Your sovereignty and to see Your hand at work in every detail of his life. May he experience Your peace and provision as he waits on You, and may any impatience or frustration be replaced with hope and confidence in Your promises.

We must also address the language used in this request. While the desire for love and marriage is beautiful and God-given, we encourage you to focus on seeking a spouse rather than a "partner" or someone to "love" in a general sense. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). It is not merely about companionship or romance but about a lifelong commitment to honor God together. We pray that your future marriage will be built on this foundation, with both you and your wife submitting to God’s design for your lives.

Additionally, we urge you to guard your heart and mind against any temptation to rush into a relationship that does not honor God. The world often promotes the idea of casual dating or relationships without commitment, but Scripture calls us to purity and intentionality. "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). If you are currently involved in any relationship that does not align with God’s standards, we encourage you to repent and seek His guidance in redirecting your steps.

Lord, we also pray for our brother’s spiritual growth. May he continue to deepen his relationship with You, seeking Your will above his own desires. Help him to be content in this season, knowing that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28 WEB). Give him opportunities to serve You and others, and may his life be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

We declare over him the words of Proverbs 19:14: "House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord" (WEB). Lord, we trust that You will provide a prudent and godly wife for him in Your perfect timing. Until then, fill him with Your peace, joy, and confidence in Your plans for his life.

Father, thank you for and for the sincere desire you've placed in him for a wife. We ask you to guide his steps and prepare the way for him to meet a woman who genuinely wants to know him, a woman you have chosen for a lifelong covenant. The heart’s cry for a spouse is heard in the courts of heaven, yet let us test the spirit of this request by the touchstone of holy love. You ask for a woman God wills you to love, but have you first considered whether God Himself has the supreme place in your affections? There is a jealousy in divine love that will not brook a rival, He is determined to have all your love, and woe to the man who offers his heart to another before it is wholly surrendered to Christ. When you say, “Pray that God sends me a woman who will not give up on me,” I ask you, have you given God any cause to doubt your own steadfast love? Does He look upon you and say, “My child, do you indeed love Me?” Let that be settled first, for a marriage built on any other foundation than a soul already wedded to the Saviour is a house upon the sand.

Yet I do not despise your petition, for the union of a man and a woman in holy matrimony is a sacred picture of Christ and His Church. The husband’s love is to be a love of choice, a love of specialty, a love that says, “You are all My own,” and will not be shared with the world. This is a high and heavenly pattern. If you would know such a love, then strive after sanctification. Do not think of marriage as a cure for loneliness or a mere comfort of the flesh, but as a field where the miracles of love are wrought by the hand of God. His love fetched us up from the pit; it is love that regenerates, love that supports, love that will keep you to the end. And if He has appointed a helpmeet for you, His love will make the crooked paths straight and the rough places plain in practical ways you cannot now imagine.

But here is the test of your sincerity: prayer. The hypocrite may pray loudly in seasons of excitement, but will you always call upon God? Will you seek His face when the answer delays, when no suitable companion appears, when the waiting grinds upon your spirit? The prayer meeting is the furnace where such constancy is forged. Go there, not merely to ask for a wife, but to plead for a closer walk with Christ. When the church gathers, as in the upper room or in the house of John Mark’s mother, there is power to plead for individuals. There the accumulated love of God is made known among His children. Let your private chambers be consecrated for prayer, and let the public assembly witness your earnestness. But beware of self-conceit that tears the wheels from your petition; come humbly, as Jacob, pleading the promises, yet ready for an answer that may come in a form you do not expect.

The Lord Jesus delights to answer the cries of His people; while we are yet speaking, He often hears. He will not mock your desire for a godly marriage if that desire flows from a heart that joys in Him above all. Eat and drink deeply of His love first, and then you shall find that all other loves fall into their proper place, never rivaling, but always reflecting, the great love with which He loved us and gave Himself for us. Continue in prayer, wait upon the Lord, and trust His timing. He who spared not His own Son will not withhold any good thing that makes for your holiness and His glory.

You ask prayer that God would send you a wife and work miracles so that she will never give up on you until you are hers. But consider: are you seeking first the kingdom of God, that you might become the kind of man whom a godly woman can honorably pursue? The true miracle is not a sign in the sky arranging a meeting, but a heart remade in the image of Christ. If you would attract a wife, let your life be the greatest wonder, a life of meekness, mercy, and purity. For such virtues draw souls more powerfully than any outward sign, as the Apostles drew the world not by wealth or spectacle but by holiness.

Do not demand of God a specific path or insist that another must be unwaveringly devoted to you. The Bridegroom of the Church came down to His Bride in humility and gave Himself for her; He did not stand aloof waiting for her to prove her interest. In the same way, fix your eyes on loving as Christ loved the Church, and trust the Father to provide in His time. To insist on a woman who will not give up on you is to place a condition that may feed impatience rather than charity. Examine instead whether you would lay down your own life for her, as Christ did.

The greatest miracle in your life will be the death of self-will and the rising of a new creation. I will pray that God grants you what is truly needful: a heart so shaped by the Spirit that whether He gives marriage or calls you to singleness, you may glorify Him. If you seek a wife, seek one with whom you can pursue holiness, not one who merely satisfies a craving for reassurance.
