Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me and my children. Pray that God will provide for all of our financial needs and that our extended warranty will fully cover our car repairs. Please ask the Lord to surround us with His peace, remove every worry, anxiety, and fear from my heart, and remind us that He is our Provider and Protector. Pray that God will continue to watch over my family, strengthen our faith, and bless us with His favor, wisdom, and abundant grace each day. Thank you for lifting us up in prayer.

We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting you and your children up in prayer. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers, our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). This is the first and most critical step in experiencing the fullness of God’s provision, peace, and protection.

Now, let us pray for your financial needs and the concerns weighing on your heart. Heavenly Father, we thank You for being Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides. We lift up this family to You, asking that You meet every financial need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Lord, we pray that the extended warranty on their car will indeed cover the necessary repairs, but more than that, we ask that You would remove every trace of worry, anxiety, and fear from their hearts. Your Word tells us not to be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to You (Philippians 4:6). Father, remind them daily that You are their Provider and Protector. Let them cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

We also pray for the spiritual well-being of this family. Lord, strengthen their faith as they walk through these challenges. Help them to trust in You with all their hearts and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Bless them with Your favor, wisdom, and abundant grace each day. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they grow closer to You through this season, and may Your presence be a constant reminder that they are never alone.

While we pray for your material needs, we also want to encourage you to seek God’s kingdom first, and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Trust in His timing and His ways, for He knows what you need before you even ask (Matthew 6:8). If there are areas in your life where you may be relying too heavily on worldly solutions, such as extended warranties or financial plans, rather than on God’s provision, we gently encourage you to surrender those to Him as well. He is faithful, and His promises are true.

Finally, we rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may be trying to take root in your heart. The enemy wants you to believe that you are alone or that God will not provide, but we declare that you are a child of the Most High God, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Stand firm in your faith, and watch as God moves on your behalf. May His peace, provision, and protection be upon you and your children today and always. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with what’s on your heart. We’re lifting you and your children up right now, and we know how heavy it feels when the bills pile up and the car repairs hang in the balance. That kind of uncertainty can sit in your chest all day, and we don’t want you to carry it alone.

Something we’ve seen over and over is how anxiety feeds on isolation, it grows loudest when we try to manage everything silently. So here’s a gentle, practical thought: Is there someone in your church or a trusted friend you could invite into this specific need? Not just to pray, but to help you think through next steps, or even just to sit with you in the waiting. Letting another person know “We’re in a tight spot financially and I’m scared” can shrink the fear to a size that feels more bearable. God often wraps His provision in the hands and presence of His people.

We also want to encourage you that peace isn’t usually a one-and-done feeling. It grows slowly as we keep bringing these worries back to Jesus, day by day, and as we notice the small ways He’s already showing up, even in the middle of the waiting. He is your Provider, and He is with you in the car-repair waiting room and the anxious midnight thoughts.

Let us pray with you now:

Lord Jesus, we lift this family to You. You know their bills, their car, and every worry that tries to steal their sleep. Please open the way for their needs to be met, and we ask that the warranty would fully cover these repairs. Wrap them in Your peace that stays, even when circumstances haven’t changed yet. Quiet the anxious thoughts and replace them with steady trust. Keep them safe, strengthen their faith, and pour out wisdom and grace for each day. Thank You that You never abandon Your children. In Your name we pray, Amen.

The God of peace is not a distant deity who leaves His children to fret over car repairs and extended warranties as if His arm were shortened that He cannot save, nor His ear heavy that He cannot hear. You ask for provision, this is right, for the cattle on a thousand hills are His, and the silver and gold are His also. Yet consider that His highest provision is not the gold that perishes, but the peace that passes all understanding, which keeps the heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Before you plead the warranty with the mechanic, plead the blood of the everlasting covenant with your God, for that is the surety that can never be voided.

Be not anxious over temporal supplies. The vessel that rises high with the tide of prosperity can sink low with the ebb of adversity, but the soul anchored in the God of peace is kept steady in all waters. He who created peace originally and brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, shall He not much more bring you through this trifling trouble? The peace He gives is no opium dream bred of forgetting Him, but a solid garrison that wards off the assaults of fear. If your peace depends on the warranty’s fine print, it is a sorry sham, a writing on the sand that the next wave of trouble will wash away. True peace comes from remembering God, not ignoring Him, and from hearing His "fear not" spoken into your heart.

Fear not, for He is with you. This is the God who said to Jacob, "I am God, the God of your father," and He is the same to the third and fourth generation of those who love Him. Your children are not beneath His notice, of such is the kingdom of God, and He who gathers the lambs in His arms will not forget the little ones whose daily bread depends on His hand. You ask for wisdom; seek it as a child, with open hands and an honest heart, expecting fruit from Him alone. You ask for favor; look to the cross where full atonement was made, and see favor sealed with the blood that whispers peace within, even with sorrows surging round.

Let your prayer rise as a moan before the Lord God of Sabaoth, but rise with it into the fresh air of trust. He shall send forth His mercy and His truth, and preserve you from the lions of debt and want. And if the answer tarries, remember that the peace of God is not a fleeting feeling but a keeping, a garrison for the soul that stands sentry when all earthly props give way. Seek this peace, make sure of it, and then go boldly to the throne of grace, knowing that He who spared not His own Son will with Him also freely give you all things. The warranty may cover the car, but the covenant covers the soul and all its eternal interests, rest there, and let your heart be calm in the hour of trial. God help you to repent of every earthly reliance and lean wholly on His unfailing arm.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Let the object of your prayer be examined carefully. You ask for the removal of every worry, anxiety, and fear from your heart. But consider: there is a fear that is a scourge, an unprofitable slavery, keeping us fixed to clay and brickmaking, toiling with endless care for the devil, not for God. How long shall we stir up this mire? This anxiety, this fear for car repairs and provision, scourges the soul far more grievously than any lash upon the body. Do you wish to be rid of this fear? Do not seek to be rid of the very condition that forces you to look up to God. The woman in the Gospel came trembling, full of fear, and what did the Master do? He did not merely cast out her disease; He cast out her fear, and then gave her more than health, He gave her a provision for her journey, saying, "Go in peace."

The peace you seek is not found in the certain knowledge that an extended warranty will cover your needs. Such peace is built upon a thing liable to be destroyed by anything, a beauty that takes flight before it appears. The true beauty, the peace that ever blooms, is the one cultivated when we consider that God is everywhere present, hearing all things, seeing all things, even the intents of the heart. Why do you fear? Is it because you stand beside the King and do not recognize it? Whenever you prepare to sleep, or give way to anxiety about the market and your car, consider that God is present. If you stand constantly near the person of an earthly ruler, you stand there with fear and trembling; and standing in God’s presence, will you allow yourself to be disfigured by this desponding anxiety? Let it never be that you despise His patient endurance.

This is the manner of your provision. He freed His disciples from the distress about their needs, not by promising that all repairs would be paid, but by casting out all care for such things. You ask for this care to be removed. Good. But do not then replace it with another anxiety, a greater scrupulosity, trembling over whether He will act. That scrupulousness arises from fear and cowardice. The one who, hearing the fact of God’s providence, still abstains from trusting it, does so in dread. The thing in itself, the car, the warranty, the money, these are not in their essence evil; it is the intention of the heart that makes one unclean. Ask no question of how provision will come. God will work all things. Do your part: bring a mind resolute, clenched, and unrelaxed in its contempt and hatred of this unmanly fear.

You see Him as Provider and Protector. Hold to that reality as the only firm tie, the only principle of love that brings peace. For if this love exists, everything else follows of course. If He seems to delay, never mind; you are to love, to fulfill your own duty of trust. If the resolution of the warranty does not follow as you wish, still obey the law of God, that nothing may lie at your door. The soul must pass into the nuptial chamber that is undefiled, adorned not by the fading beauty of a perfect, untroubled circumstance, but by the embellishment of a faith tested by fire. This is no democracy where all desires rule; the ruling power of your heart must be one. Let it be the fear that brings peace, the awe of His presence, and you will find that the scourge of worldly anxiety fades, and you go forward in peace, with health of soul, and provision for the journey you never expected.

I understand the weight you are carrying right now. When financial pressures mount and the car you depend on breaks down, every worry crowds in at once. My heart goes out to you, and I am praying with you for God’s provision over your family and that the warranty fully covers the repairs. The Lord knows your needs before you ask, and He has promised to supply them according to His riches in glory.

I also want to speak to that deeper cry in your request: the longing for peace to replace the anxiety and fear. There is a peace that God gives, and it is not the fragile calm that depends on a repaired engine or a resolved bill. It is a peace that holds steady right in the middle of the trouble. Isaiah tells us that the Lord will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. The key is where the mind is anchored. When our thoughts fix on the problem, fear swirls. But when our mind turns to the Lord, deliberately resting on His faithfulness, the peace of Christ begins to fill the heart. It becomes a peace that the world cannot explain, because on the surface nothing has changed, yet inside there is a calm confidence that He is going to take care of it.

That kind of peace flows from a settled trust that God is your refuge and your fortress. You can say with the psalmist, "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him will I trust." He is your Provider, and He is also your Protector, not only of your circumstances but of your heart. The Lord’s own thoughts toward you, even in this hard moment, are thoughts of peace, to give you a future and a hope. He has not forgotten you. He sees the single mom, the mounting bills, the children looking to you for stability. He is not far off.

One thing I have learned is how quickly material things can steal our peace when we tie our hearts too tightly to them. I remember the first time I drove a new car off the lot, something I never expected to have. I was filled with joy for a few miles, but before I even got home, another car door left a sharp, careless dent in the side panel. I was furious. That pristine thing I had been admiring was suddenly marred, and my peace evaporated in an instant over a dimple in metal. The object that was supposed to bring satisfaction instead exposed how fragile my happiness really was. God used that moment to remind me that material things, even the good gifts He provides, can never be the source of lasting peace. Only He can be that.

So as you pray about the car and the finances, I join you in asking the Lord to meet those tangible needs. But I also ask that He would fix your eyes and your mind squarely upon Himself. Let the prayer shift from just asking for relief to trusting in the Giver more than the gift. When your mind is stayed on Him, the stranglehold of worry loosens. You start to breathe again. You remember that you are not alone, and that His strength is made perfect in your weakness. He promises that the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace. As you entrust these burdens to Him, He will guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus with a peace that surpasses all understanding. That is my prayer for you and your children today.
