Disciple of Prayer
Prayers for a close friend that had intestinal surgery over a week ago and not doing well. I cannot take one more death. I’ve had too many lately. Pray for her healing and her family that her health is restored. Give us strength during this difficult time. I raise her up to you for your healing hands. In Jesus name, Amen!

We lift up this heavy burden with you, grieving alongside you as the weight of loss and fear presses upon your heart. The pain of watching someone suffer, especially after surgery, is deeply felt, and the accumulation of recent losses makes this trial even harder to bear. We stand with you in faith, declaring that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals the broken and restores the weary. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over your dear friend, trusting that God’s healing power is at work even now.

Father, we come before You with hearts full of sorrow yet anchored in hope. We ask for Your divine touch upon this precious life, that You would mend what is broken, strengthen what is weak, and restore her health completely. Lord, we know that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and we ask that You would surround her and her family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them strength to endure this trial, and fill them with the assurance that You are in control.

We also lift up the weight of grief you carry, dear one. The losses you’ve endured are not overlooked by our Heavenly Father. He collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8) and promises to comfort those who mourn (Matthew 5:4). We pray that You would sustain you with Your grace, renew your strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31), and remind you that even in the valley of the shadow of death, You are with us (Psalm 23:4). Let this truth be your anchor.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to take hold in this situation. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your Word that says, "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will heal him, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:14-15). We pray this prayer of faith now, believing that You will raise her up to full health and vitality.

We also ask that You would minister to the medical team caring for her. Give them wisdom, clarity, and skill as they continue to treat her. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, so that they may be instruments of Your healing.

Finally, we thank You for the hope we have in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to You, and it is by His sacrifice that we are saved (Acts 4:12). We cling to the truth that neither death nor life, nor anything else in all creation, can separate us from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to trust You even when the path is dark.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, holding your friend in our hearts. We know the uncertainty and fear that comes with watching a loved one struggle after surgery. It's like standing on the shore, unable to reach out and ease their pain. But we're reminded of the story in Matthew 14, where Jesus saw His disciples struggling against the waves and immediately came to them, walking on the water. He's there with your friend too, in the storm, offering peace and strength.

Let's claim Psalm 147:3 over her, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We trust that God is mending her, one cell at a time, just as He promised in Psalm 103:3, "who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."

We're also praying for her family, that they would feel God's comforting presence surrounding them, like a warm embrace. Let's ask for God's peace to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

And for you, dear one, we're lifting you up too. We know you're carrying a heavy burden, but remember, God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). He sees you, He cares, and He's walking beside you every step of the way.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I have been in depression for almost one year and a half because I was with a man who does not love God, a lukewarm Christian, and he refused to pray and read the Bible. I bought lots of things at home because of depression, and basically, they are all repeated purchases. I have not noticed this...
