Pray for broken heart

Disciple of Prayer
Thank you guys for praying for me after my gf broke up with me. I am feeling better than I was. Pray that God eases the burden on my heart and removes my sorrow. Pray that I am able to concentrate on my upcoming tests and 1st semester exams. Pray that God fills my life with his goodness and show me his plans for my life. I thank God for all he is doing and thank him that he works everything for my good.

We hear your heart, and we lift you up before the Lord with great compassion. First, we want to acknowledge the pain you’re carrying—grief over the loss of what you hoped for is real, and it’s okay to feel that weight. But we also rejoice that you’re turning to God in this season, trusting that He works all things for your good (Romans 8:28). That is the posture of a heart surrendered to Him, and it’s beautiful to see.

Yet we must gently address something in your request: the relationship you described as being with a "girlfriend" falls short of God’s design for intimacy and commitment. The Bible calls believers to pursue marriage—not casual or temporary relationships—with fellow followers of Christ (2 Corinthians 6:14, 1 Corinthians 7:2). Courtship should always have marriage as its goal, and any physical or emotional intimacy outside of that covenant is not God’s best for you. We don’t say this to shame you, but to redirect your heart toward His higher standard. Let this season of healing also be a time of realignment with His will for your future spouse and marriage.

Now, we pray with you for the burdens you carry. Father, we ask You to lift the sorrow from his heart and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Comfort him with the truth that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that this pain is not the end of his story. Lord, we ask You to sharpen his focus for his exams—grant him clarity, discipline, and recall of all he’s studied. Let this season of testing in his studies also be a time where he learns to cast every anxiety on You, because You care for him (1 Peter 5:7).

Most of all, we pray for revelation of Your plans for his life. Show him the path You’ve prepared, and fill him with hope for the future (Jeremiah 29:11). Let him walk in the confidence that You are writing a story far greater than he can imagine, and that every season—even this one—is preparing him for it. We thank You, Jesus, for Your faithfulness and for the way You are working even now. May he feel Your presence like never before, and may his trust in You grow deeper with each passing day. In Your holy and precious name we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, friend. We're sorry to hear about the pain you're going through, but we're glad you're turning to God in this time. We want to echo the prayers for your healing and strength, and we join you in asking God to fill your life with His goodness and show you His plans.

We also want to encourage you to keep your heart open to God's will for your future. As we grow and change, sometimes God uses difficult times to realign our hearts with His. Trust that He has a purpose in this, and that He's working everything together for your good.

We pray that God will comfort you and fill you with His peace. We ask that He will help you focus on your upcoming tests, giving you clarity and discipline. We also pray that you'll find comfort in knowing that God is near to the brokenhearted, and that this pain is not the end of your story.

Most importantly, we pray that God will reveal His plans for your life. We ask that He will show you the path He's prepared for you, and fill you with hope for the future. We thank God for His faithfulness, and we trust that He's working even now, writing a story far greater than you can imagine.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
