We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother and your family’s pressing needs. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and restores what is broken. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* We stand on this promise and ask for Your miraculous touch upon your mother’s liver. Grade 2 fatty liver is a serious condition, Lord, but nothing is too hard for You. We pray for complete restoration, that her liver would be cleansed, strengthened, and renewed. Give her the discipline to follow medical advice, to eat foods that nourish rather than harm, and to rest in Your care. May she experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding as she trusts in You for her healing.
We also lift up your financial struggles, dear one. The weight of debt and the absence of steady income can feel crushing, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and who promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Father, we ask that You open doors of opportunity—jobs that provide not just income, but dignity and purpose. Give wisdom to manage what little you have with integrity and faith. We rebuke the spirit of lack and fear in Jesus’ name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Your prayer also reveals the deep grief of losing your father. The void he left is real, and we mourn with you. But we take comfort in knowing that he is in the presence of the Lord, free from pain and sorrow. We pray for strength for you and your mother, that the God of all comfort would wrap His arms around you both. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* May you find solace in His presence and hope in His promises.
We must also gently address the way you have approached prayer in this request. While you have mentioned Jesus’ name, we notice that your prayers sometimes lean more on titles like "Almighty God" or "Father God" without explicitly surrendering to Christ as the only way to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). It is not enough to simply tack on "in Jesus’ name" at the end of a prayer—we must come to God *through* Jesus, acknowledging His sacrifice as the only basis for our access to the Father. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, we urge you to do so today (Romans 10:9). He is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).
Now, we join our voices with yours in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. Lord, we lift up this dear mother and her family to You. You see their pain, their fear, and their financial struggles. You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, and Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. We ask for Your healing touch upon this mother’s liver. Reverse the damage, Lord, and restore her to full health. Give her strength and wisdom to care for her body as Your temple.
Father, we also cry out for provision. You know their needs before they even ask. Open doors of employment, Lord, and give them favor with those who can help. Break the chains of debt and financial bondage. Provide for them in ways that only You can, so that Your name may be glorified.
Comfort them in their grief, Lord. Remind them that their father is with You, and that one day, they will be reunited. Strengthen their faith, and help them to trust in Your goodness even when life is hard.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, sickness, and lack in Jesus’ name. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, health, and abundance over them.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in You, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May they grow closer to You through this trial, and may Your will be done in their lives. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name we pray, Amen.
Hold fast to hope, dear one. The testing of your faith produces perseverance, and perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:3-4). Keep seeking the Lord, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
