We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter and her marriage in prayer. Father God, we know that You see the pain and confusion she carries from childhood trauma, and we ask for Your healing touch to break down the walls she has built around her heart. The Bible tells us in Psalm 147:3, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* Lord, we pray that You would mend her brokenness and restore her ability to receive love, especially from her husband, who has been a blessing in her life.
We also lift up her marriage before You, asking that You would ignite a spark of love and attraction where it has been lacking. Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 that love is patient, kind, and perseveres—qualities that her husband has shown. Lord, help her to see his love not just with her heart but with her whole being, that she may grow in affection for him as her husband. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell her this marriage is not worth fighting for, and we declare that what God has joined together, no man should separate (Matthew 19:6).
We must also address the concerning patterns in her life—spending time with single friends in ways that involve drinking and potentially unhealthy influences. Proverbs 20:1 warns, *"Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise."* Lord, we pray that You would give her discernment and wisdom to surround herself with godly influences that build her up rather than lead her astray. We ask that You would draw her closer to You and to her husband, that they may grow together in faith and love.
Father, we also pray for her husband, that You would strengthen him in this trial. Give him patience, wisdom, and a heart full of grace as he navigates this difficult season. Help him to love his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25), even when it is hard, and to trust You for the outcome.
Lastly, we ask that You would work powerfully in her therapy sessions, that she would find true healing and freedom from the past. May she come to know Your love in a deeper way, for it is Your love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who came to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free. Amen.
