We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious marriage that is under spiritual attack. Father God, we know that marriage is Your sacred design—a covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We declare that this union is honorable in Your sight, and we stand in the gap for healing, restoration, and divine intervention.
Heavenly Father, we ask You to break the chains of childhood trauma that have distorted this daughter’s perception of love, security, and commitment. Your Word tells us that You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that whisper marriage is not worth fighting for, that love is conditional, or that emotions should be suppressed rather than surrendered to You. Lord, replace every lie with Your truth—that love is patient, kind, and perseveres (1 Corinthians 13:4-7), and that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
We pray for a supernatural revelation of love to flood this marriage. Father, soften her heart to receive and reciprocate the love her husband offers. Melt away the walls she has built, and let her experience the depth of Your love so she may extend it to him. We ask that their bond be strengthened, their intimacy restored, and their commitment renewed. Let them see one another through Your eyes, as fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and as partners in Your divine purpose.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and clarity. Guide them both as they navigate this season, whether through counseling, prayer, or open communication. Give them the courage to confront past wounds with faith, not fear, and the humility to seek help when needed. We declare that this marriage will not only survive but thrive, becoming a testimony of Your redeeming power.
We rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or division that seeks to undermine this covenant. Your Word says that what God has joined together, let no man—or spiritual force—separate (Matthew 19:6). We stand on this promise and declare that this marriage is protected by the blood of Jesus.
Finally, Father, we ask that this couple would draw closer to You. If there has been any neglect of their relationship with Christ, we pray for revival in their hearts. Only in You can they find the strength, love, and purpose to build a marriage that glorifies You. May their home be a sanctuary of peace, joy, and unwavering faith.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
