Praise report

Humble Prayer Partner
I've had my appointment with ### from the mental health team and it went really well.
The psychiatrist is going to increase my medication. He is referring me for cognitive behaviour therapy. And I am going to be given a care Co ordinator. Somebody who will oversee my care and whom will see me every month to make sure that I'm OK.

We rejoice with you in this good report and give thanks to our Heavenly Father for His provision and care in your life. It is wonderful to hear that you are receiving the support and help you need through the mental health team. We recognize that God often works through professionals, medicine, and therapy to bring healing and restoration to His children.

The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We trust that the Lord is near to you, drawing you closer to Himself even in this season, and that He will use these resources to bring you comfort, strength, and peace.

We also lift up your care coordinator, psychiatrist, and therapist in prayer, asking that the Lord would grant them wisdom, compassion, and discernment as they walk alongside you. May they be instruments of God’s grace and healing in your life. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." We pray that you would continue to place your trust in the Lord, knowing that He is guiding your steps even through the hands of those who are helping you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the way You are working in this situation. We thank You for the progress made and for the care and support being provided. Lord, we ask that You would bless the medication, therapy, and care coordination with Your healing power. Grant wisdom to those who are helping, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard this dear one’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Father, we also ask that You would draw near in a special way. Remind them of Your love, Your faithfulness, and Your promises. Help them to lean on You in every moment, trusting that You are their strength and their refuge. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and fill them with hope for the future. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in this journey, dear one. He is faithful, and His love for you is unchanging. We encourage you to remain in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). If you ever feel overwhelmed, remember that you are not alone, God is with you, and so are we in prayer. Keep pressing into Him, and may He fill you with His joy and peace as you trust in Him.

We’re so glad to hear how well your appointment went. There’s something quietly powerful about having a plan in place, a thoughtful adjustment to your medication, a concrete referral for therapy, and a care coordinator who will check in on you month by month to make sure you’re okay. That steady, consistent support is a real gift.

As you step into cognitive-behavior therapy, one small thing that can make a difference is to lean into the practical side of it, even the homework assignments. Many people find that tracking their thought patterns, noticing the automatic negative ones and gently questioning them, becomes a skill they carry long after therapy ends. You don’t have to be perfect at it; just showing up with a willingness to try is enough. God can use these tools to bring genuine relief and new clarity, one day at a time.

You also have the reassurance of that care coordinator. If a low day comes or something in therapy feels confusing, you won’t have to sort through it alone. Let that be a safety net you actually use.

Father, thank you for this encouraging step forward. Please guide the hands and minds of everyone on your care team, and give you patience with yourself as you learn these new skills. Steady you with a deep sense of His peace, and protect you from discouragement when progress feels slow. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Beloved, I do heartily rejoice with you in this good word, and I trust we may together lift up a psalm of thanksgiving unto our God, whose mercy endureth forever. It is a pleasant thing to see how He crowneth the year with His goodness, and in this fresh token of His care, we behold the river of His lovingkindness flowing yet again in a season of need. He hath given you favor in the eyes of those who attend to the tender frame of the mind, and He hath provided for you a guide and a guardian in the days to come. For this we bless the Father of lights, from whom every good gift and every perfect gift descendeth.

Yet, dear soul, while you are glad for the medicine and the counsel of men, see that your chief reliance is not upon these outward means, but upon Him who is the health of your countenance and your God. Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. He who commandeth the ravens and ordereth the steps of His children is at no loss to supply your every necessity, whether of body or of soul. The increase of a drug or the wisdom of a physician are but instruments in His hand; they have no power apart from His bidding. Therefore, let your heart be as a weaned child, still and quiet in His bosom, and let your requests be made known unto Him with thanksgiving.

Go forward, then, in this strength which He hath so graciously renewed. May the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. And as you walk under the oversight of this new helper, remember that the eyes of the Lord are ever upon you, and He will perfect that which concerneth you. I commend you to His unfailing care.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have well perceived the mercy of God in this appointment, for which you rightly give thanks. It is no small gift to have found those who will care for the soul and body alike, and you do wisely to see the hand of the Good Samaritan in this. That physician extends his skill, the therapist his art, and the care coordinator his oversight; yet behind them all, it is Christ who binds up your wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and setting you upon His beast. He has not left you stripped and beaten by the wayside, but has sent attendants to tend you until you are whole.

Let your gratitude be not empty, but bear fruit. You have received provision for the flesh not for wantonness but for health, this is no sin, for the Apostle himself bids Timothy take a little wine for his frequent infirmities. So too, the increase of medicine and the therapy for the mind are a sober care of the body, which is the temple of God. Receive them with thanksgiving, remembering that we are not our own; whether we live or die, we live unto the Lord. He who numbers our tears and knows our frame has greater care for us than we have for ourselves.

Yet do not stop at mending the outer man. Let these aids preserve your strength, but direct your chief industry to the health of the soul. For what good is a calm mind if the soul remains unquieted by sin? The care coordinator will watch over your earthly frame; be yet more zealous for that immortal part which no medicine can cure save the grace of God. Walk in the light while you have it, and let this season of relief be a spur to seek the kingdom of heaven, that all these earthly helps may be added unto you.

In all, do not merely receive help, but imitate it. When you see another in affliction, do not curiously inquire whether he be Jew or Greek, believer or not. His trouble is enough. Let the mercy shown you flow outward, that you become a neighbor to those in distress. This is the grateful heart, which does not clutch its blessings but pours them out again. So shall this praise report be complete: not only that you are lifted up, but that through you others are raised as well.
