Praise report

Humble Prayer Partner
I've had my driving lesson today and my instructor said that it didn't go too bad. I would really appreciate your prayers as I have my appointment with ### tomorrow whom works for the mental health team. It's at 10.30 am.

We rejoice with you in this small but meaningful victory, your driving lesson went better than expected! This is a reminder that God is with you in every step, even the ones that feel uncertain. We lift up your appointment tomorrow with the mental health team, asking the Lord to grant you peace, clarity, and wisdom. May He guide the conversation, soften hearts, and provide the support and encouragement you need.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus’ name, asking for Your presence to go before and surround ### as they meet with the mental health team. Lord, calm any anxiety or fear, replacing it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Give them the words to express their needs and the discernment to receive godly counsel. We pray for the team member they will meet with, that You would grant them compassion, wisdom, and insight to provide the help that is needed. Father, we also ask that You would continue to strengthen ### in their daily walk, reminding them that they are never alone, for You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

We encourage you to hold fast to the truth that God sees you, loves you, and is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Mental health struggles can feel overwhelming, but the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Lean on Him, and trust that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we gently encourage you to consider the hope and salvation that comes only through Him. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you feel led, we would love to pray with you about surrendering your life to Christ.

We're grateful for that bit of good news about your driving lesson, and we're glad to stand with you as you head into your appointment tomorrow at 10:30. Walking into a meeting with the mental health team can stir up a mix of feelings, and it's okay to name that, alongside the hope that this next step brings.

We've seen how much it can steady a person simply to remember that others are praying alongside them in moments like this. It's not about having everything figured out before you walk in; sometimes the most important thing is just showing up and being as honest as you can about what's really going on. If it helps, you might jot down a few key things you want to mention or questions you have, so nothing gets lost in the nerves of the moment. And if you find your mind going blank, it's alright to say so, they're there to listen, not to grade you.

We're asking God to give you a clear mind, a settled spirit, and a sense of his steady presence in that room. We pray too for wisdom for the person you'll be meeting with, that they'd have insight, compassion, and the right words to help you move forward. May you leave that appointment with a tangible sense of hope and a clearer path ahead.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this one to you on the eve of this appointment. Quiet any fears, settle the anxious thoughts, and let your peace be the anchor that holds. Give courage for honest conversation, and guide the conversation in ways that bring genuine help and healing. Thank you that you go before us into every room we enter. Be near tomorrow morning. Amen.

I've been thinking of you, and of that appointment sitting before you at half-past ten tomorrow morning. A meeting with someone from the mental health team, that's no small matter. You carry it with you, I know. You may be replaying what you should say, or what they may think, or what it might mean for the days ahead. And perhaps, in the quiet of your own heart, you're fretting a little.

Let me remind you of something you already know: the Lord Jesus has not left you to face this hour alone. The Shepherd does not send His sheep into rough pastures without going before them. The appointment is already known to Him. The room, the chair, the voice of the one you will speak with, none of it catches your Savior by surprise. And if He knows, and if He loves you as He does, then you may go into that meeting with a steadied soul.

You spoke of your driving lesson, how it didn't go too bad, and that's a mercy to be glad of. Every small success is a love-token from the hand of your Father. But the deeper thing you've asked prayer for is this visit tomorrow, and that tells me where your heart is looking. It is the indoor work that matters most, isn't it? What goes on inside our own breast, where no human eye can see. The weather of the mind and the state of the soul. And there is an indoor peace which Jesus Himself bequeaths to His own, a peace that nothing outside you can manufacture, and nothing outside you can destroy. All the water in the sea cannot hurt the vessel so long as it is kept outside. The danger begins only when it gets inside the ship. So it is with our troubles. Tomorrow's meeting is outside you, but the peace of Christ is within.

You do not need to be a slave to your own anxious thoughts. You may leave the outcome with Him. You are not called to be your own physician, nor to write the report of that meeting before it has begun. What you can do, you will do: speak honestly, receive help humbly, and trust the rest to the God who numbers your days. "I do the little I can do, and leave the rest to Thee." That is a quiet path to walk.

And as you sit down in that chair, let this be your secret strength, that Christ Himself is your peace. Not a feeling. Not a momentary calm. But a Person. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within when every other voice brings turmoil. He has made peace between you and God, and that treaty is signed and sealed forever. If the eternal quarrel is ended, then this earthly appointment is a small thing under His care.

May you go into that meeting as one who has already been received in the Beloved, whose sins are forgiven, whose future is held in the pierced hands that will never let you go. Let not your heart be troubled.

We pray together now:

Lord Jesus, You who are the same yesterday, today, and forever, draw near to this dear one as the hour of half-past ten draws near. Go with them into that room. Give them a quiet mind and a clear head. Let them sense, deeper than any words, that they are not alone. May the conversation be helpful and right, and may every question and answer be ordered by Your wisdom. And after the appointment is over, grant them Your own perfect peace, which passes all understanding, to keep their heart and mind in You. Amen.

You give thanks for the driving lesson, and rightly so, for every good gift comes from above. Yet do not let this small success lull you into security. The one who thinks he stands must take heed lest he fall. The instructor said it did not go too bad, so give glory to God, but remain watchful, for the day is full of hidden rocks and storms, and we need constant prayer to navigate without shipwreck.

You ask prayers for your appointment with the mental health team tomorrow. I will pray, and the church will pray with fervent supplication, knowing that the prayer of the righteous has great power in its effects. Did not Peter escape prison when earnest prayer was made for him? So we entreat the Lord for you, that He would grant you a calm mind and a sound spirit. Remember that the true Physician heals both body and soul. Just as Christ made a man wholly sound on the Sabbath, so He desires to restore you wholly, not merely a part. But do not merely wait for others' prayers; rouse yourself. Awake, you who sleep, and arise, and Christ will give you light. Prepare your own heart early with prayer before that hour. If at morning dawn you meditate on these things and make God propitious by supplication, you will go forth to your appointment with much security, laughing to scorn any enemy of peace.

Do not think that you have no need of the prayers of others. Even Paul, that great apostle, sought the prayers of the saints. The more we feel self-sufficient, the greater our peril. Instead, humble yourself under the mighty hand of God. The publican, sick with covetousness, was quickly set free by obeying the true Physician’s laws. So bring your whole burden to Christ, who does not need our prayers to work but condescends to hear them so that we may believe. Go, then, trusting not in your own strength but in His mercy. We shall lift you up with the hands of prayer, and He will make the rough places smooth.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
