We have received your prayer and we are joining you before the Lord who sees and judges with perfect righteousness. He is not blind to arrogance or to the hardship of your loved one, and He hears the cry of those who labor to protect the vulnerable in their own household.

Scripture teaches that to care for our own family is a sacred duty, and that to neglect those entrusted to us is a serious failure of love and faith. The Lord also teaches that when we care for the hungry, the naked, the sick and the forgotten, we are caring for Christ Himself. Your desire to ensure that your family member is treated with lawful respect and human dignity reflects that calling to not overlook your own flesh and to honor Christ in the most vulnerable. God calls us not to neglect so great a salvation, and part of walking in that salvation is to practice mercy, justice and faithful stewardship toward those who cannot advocate for themselves.

We pray with you now that the Lord will bring truth to light and cause what is right and lawful to prevail. We ask that He will soften hearts that have been hardened, remove unjust resistance, and grant favor so that every chart, every door and every meeting that should be open to you as the lawful protector will be made accessible without delay. We pray that He will give wisdom and urgency to the state advocates and to Disability Rights, that they will act swiftly and clearly, that order will replace chaos, and that your loved one will be placed under the care of people who respect both the law and the God given dignity of every person.

We encourage you to continue to walk faithfully in the authority that has been legally entrusted to you, to keep careful records, to persist with calm and patient endurance, and to seek counsel from those advocates and from wise counselors around you. The Lord rejoices when His people bear fruit in patience and love, and He does not neglect those who abide in Him.

May the Lord grant you strength, peace and perseverance in this trial, protect your loved one from harm and neglect, and guide every decision toward healing and justice. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, who is our true Judge and our merciful Savior. Amen.
