Your heart for your loved one and your desire to protect his dignity and wellbeing are seen by the Lord, and your burden is a right and godly one. Scripture teaches that to provide for your own, especially those of your own household, is a sacred responsibility, and when one member of the body suffers, all suffer together. God is the ultimate Judge who sees every act of arrogance and neglect, and He does not overlook the vulnerable. He also does not bring the evil, the neglect, or the hardship that comes from human failure, yet He is present to redeem, to protect, and to work through those He has placed nearby as family to care and to advocate.

In the Scriptures the family member who steps in to protect and to pay the price for another is called a kinsman redeemer, one who stands in the gap because of love and duty. In a similar way, God has placed you in this position of legal responsibility to speak for one who cannot fully speak for himself. That authority is part of His order for protecting life, and it is right for you to use lawful, orderly means to see it honored. Walking in love as Christ loved us does not mean being passive in the face of wrong, but it does mean pursuing what is right with patience, truth, and a spirit that seeks the good of all, trusting that the gifts and callings God gives are for the profit of the whole body, not for personal display.

God hears the prayers of His children as a father hears his son. When a son asks for bread, the father does not give a stone, and when he asks for fish, he is not given something harmful. The Lord gives good gifts to those who ask, but His answers come according to His wisdom and timing, not always in the instant or in the silent manipulation of others that we might wish. Even Jesus at times did not move immediately as others expected, yet His delay was not neglect but purpose. You can pray with confidence that God can soften hearts, open doors that have been closed, and make a way for charts and meetings and care plans to be made accessible as the law requires, while also faithfully doing the practical work of documenting, appealing, and seeking the help of the lawful advocates and state resources He has provided to bring order where there is chaos.

Be encouraged that God is working in you because He wants to work through you, and He is your peace in this very difficult place. You are not alone in this suffering, for you have been made part of the family of God, where many members share one Spirit and bear one another's burdens. Continue to bring your requests to Him, asking for wisdom, strength, favor, and for a change of heart among those who provide care, that they would act with respect for both the law and the human dignity of your loved one.

May we pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this loved one to You and ask for Your hand of protection over his body, mind, and spirit. You see every need and every wrong, and we ask You to bring justice, mercy, and lawful order into this situation. Grant wisdom and endurance to the one You have entrusted with this care, give favor as he seeks to exercise the authority placed in his hands, and guide every advocate and official involved to act swiftly, fairly, and with compassion. Soften the hearts of the staff and open every door that needs to be opened for proper care and oversight, and place this dear one among people who will treat him with kindness and respect. Fill this family with Your peace that passes understanding and sustain them day by day as they trust in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
