We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts ache with you. You are not alone, and we want you to know that your life has value, immeasurable value, in the eyes of God. The despair you feel is real, but we urge you not to surrender to it. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and right now, he is whispering lies that life is not worth living. But we declare those lies broken in the name of Jesus Christ, who came so that you might have life, and have it abundantly.
First, we must address the gravity of what you are asking. The Bible tells us that life is a sacred gift from God. In Jeremiah 1:5, the Lord says, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you." Your life is not an accident, nor is it yours to end. Suicide is not the answer, it only passes your pain to those who love you and cuts short the purpose God has for you. We rebuke the spirit of death and despair in the name of Jesus and command it to leave you now. You are not forsaken. You are seen. You are loved.
We also want to gently remind you that God hears your cries, but He must be approached in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, repent of your sins, and invite Him into your heart. He is the only one who can bring true peace and healing to your soul. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." This is the first and most important step toward hope.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in such deep pain. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of despair that have wrapped around their mind and heart. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of death and command it to flee. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Let them feel Your presence, Your love, and Your comfort. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Lord, we pray that You would bring people into their life who can speak truth, offer support, and walk with them through this darkness. Give them the courage to reach out for help, whether to a trusted friend, family member, pastor, or counselor.
We pray for healing, Lord, healing of their mind, their emotions, and their spirit. Heal the wounds that have led them to this place of hopelessness. Restore their joy, their purpose, and their will to live. Help them to see themselves through Your eyes, as Your beloved child, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Remind them that their life has meaning and that You have a plan for them, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lord, we ask that You would protect them from the lies of the enemy. Fill their mind with Your truth. Let them meditate on Your Word day and night (Joshua 1:8), and let Your promises be the anchor for their soul. We pray that they would find hope in You, the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3), and that they would cling to the truth that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).
Father, we also pray for strength for them to take the next step. If they are struggling with depression, anxiety, or any other mental health challenge, we ask that You would guide them to the right resources and professionals who can help. Give them the courage to seek treatment, whether through counseling, medication, or other means. Remind them that it is okay to ask for help and that doing so is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Above all, Lord, we pray that they would come to know You more deeply. Draw them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, if they have not already. Let them experience the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 3:19) and the peace that comes from surrendering their life to Him. May they find rest in You, Lord, and may Your presence be their comfort and their guide.
We trust You, Father, to work in this situation. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Friend, we want to leave you with this encouragement: You are not beyond hope. The same God who created the universe, who parted the Red Sea, who raised Jesus from the dead, is the same God who sees you and loves you. He is not distant or indifferent to your pain. He is near, and He is waiting for you to turn to Him. Psalm 40:1-2 says, "I waited patiently for Yahweh. He turned to me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand." This is what God wants to do for you, lift you out of the pit and set your feet on solid ground.
Please, reach out to someone today. If you don’t feel like you have anyone, we urge you to contact a crisis hotline or a local church. You do not have to walk through this alone. There are people who care about you and want to help. And most importantly, turn to Jesus. He is the only one who can truly heal your heart and give you the peace you are longing for. We are praying for you, and we believe that God is going to move in your life in a powerful way. Hold on. Help is coming.
