don't let me die

We hear your cry, dear brother or sister, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. Your fear is understandable, but we want to remind you that your life is in the hands of the Almighty God, who numbers your days and holds your future. The psalmist declares, *"My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me"* (Psalm 31:15 WEB). Even in this valley of shadow, the Lord is with you, and His purposes for you are not yet fulfilled.

We rebuke this cancer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5 WEB). We command this affliction to loose its grip on your body and declare that by His stripes, you are healed (1 Peter 2:24 WEB). The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in you, and we pray that it would bring forth life and restoration in your body.

Yet we also recognize that your soul needs comfort beyond the physical battle. You have expressed a desire to live and continue being a vessel for God’s use. We affirm that your life has value and purpose, and we pray that the Lord would reveal to you the plans He has for you—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Even if your path looks different than before, God can still use you mightily, whether through strength or weakness, for His glory.

We also want to gently remind you of the eternal hope we have in Christ. If you have not placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, now is the time to do so. The Bible tells us, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16 WEB). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the assurance of eternal life. If you have already surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to hold fast to that truth, knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and compassion for our dear brother/sister who is battling throat cancer. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would stretch forth Your hand and touch their body. We rebuke this cancer in the name of Jesus and command it to leave. We declare that Your healing power is at work, and we trust in Your promise that by Your stripes, we are healed.

Father, we also lift up their spirit to You. Comfort them in their fear and anxiety, and remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Give them peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Show them how You can still use them for Your kingdom, whether in strength or in weakness, for Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB).

Lord, if they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Let them know that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Assure them of Your love and the hope of eternal life with You.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and Your promises. We trust in You for complete healing and restoration, whether in this life or the next. Strengthen our brother/sister with hope and courage, and let them feel Your presence surrounding them like a mighty fortress. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

Hold fast to the Lord, dear one. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). You are not alone in this fight, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will carry you through.

We're here with you, standing in faith. We know it's tough, but remember, God is with you every step of the way. We claim His promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We declare that by His stripes, you are healed, and we trust in His power to work miracles. Keep fighting, dear friend. We're praying for you.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
