I hear your request for the teaching assistantship and the grant money, and I am praying with you about this right now. Let me also offer a few thoughts from Scripture to steady your heart as you wait.
Please don't ever feel ashamed about bringing financial needs before God or before the church. Paul once had to remind a group of believers that it is wrong to embarrass those who are in want. There is a kind of pride that can creep in and look down on others, and the Spirit firmly rebukes that. Your need is not a sign of spiritual failure, and you don't have to hide it. The Lord invites you to cast every anxiety on him.
And here is the deeper reason you can be confident in his care: your ultimate need has already been met at the cross. The gospel is that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. If God has already given you everything in Jesus, forgiveness, reconciliation, an eternal inheritance, then he won't abandon you in the smaller things either. The One who provided the Lamb for your salvation is the same One who knows you need daily bread. You can ask with boldness and rest in his promises.
When God opens doors like this one, it is never just a random favor. It is an opportunity he puts into your hands. I have seen him take a single, unexpected provision and use it to gather people and resources for purposes far beyond what anyone planned. So I am praying not only that you receive the assistantship and the grant, but that you would see them as a sacred trust from him, a platform to serve him and to bless others. May he grant it, and may he prepare you now to steward it well for his glory.
