We join with you in lifting up your precious daughter before the Lord, and we hear the deep love and concern in your heart as a parent. It is a heavy burden to watch your child navigate friendships and pressures that may pull her away from what is good and right, and we stand with you in prayer for her mental health, her confidence, and her choices.

We are reminded of how much God cares for her tender heart and mind. He has created her with purpose and value, and He desires for her to find her confidence not in the approval of friends but in who she is in Him. Psalm 139:14 says, I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. And 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. When anxiety or self-doubt rises, His peace is able to guard her. As Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We also understand your worry about the influence of friends. Scripture warns us and guides us in this, for 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals. And Proverbs 13:20 says, One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. We pray that the Lord will surround her with friendships that show grace and kindness, and that He will give her courage to make godly choices even when it is not popular. We pray she will have discernment to know what is right and strength to walk in it, as Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We also want to gently share that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, and we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can come boldly to Him in prayer. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and can have a personal relationship with God. We encourage you and your daughter to keep trusting in Him alone for hope, peace, and assurance that she will be okay in His hands.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved daughter to You. We ask that You watch over her mind and heart, and guard her mental health with Your perfect peace. Where she feels anxious, uncertain, or lacking in confidence, fill her with the knowledge that she is fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply loved by You. Help her to see herself as You see her, and to find her worth and joy in You. We pray that You would give her wisdom to make godly choices that honor You, and courage to stand firm even when friends may pressure her otherwise. We ask that You soften the hearts of her friends, that they would show her grace, kindness, and respect for her choices, and that You would surround her with wise and godly companions who will encourage her toward what is good. Keep her smiling, Lord, with the joy that comes from knowing You are with her wherever she goes, for Joshua 1:9 says, Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go. We pray that she would know without a doubt that she will be okay because You hold her future. We also lift up her parent who loves her so deeply, grant peace, wisdom, and strength to continue to guide her with love, open communication, and prayer. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to speak truth and love into her life daily, to keep the lines of communication open without judgment so she feels safe to share her struggles, and to model for her what it looks like to seek God first in every decision. Continue to pray with her and for her, and remind her often of her identity in Christ. He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in her, and He hears your prayers for her.

We hear the worry in your prayer for your daughter. Loving a child through the years when friends carry so much influence is tender work, and wanting her to feel confident, make wise choices, and keep her smile is such a good and caring hope.

It makes sense you are asking for grace from her friends as well. Peer pressure can make even strong kids second guess themselves, and kindness from others really does help a young person stand steady.

One gentle next step that often helps is keeping a steady, low pressure connection with her. A regular time together, maybe a drive, a walk, or time in the kitchen where you mostly listen and ask open questions, lets her share without feeling judged. When you notice something good in her character or choices, naming it specifically can quietly build the confidence you are praying for. It also keeps the door open for her to come to you when a choice feels hard.

If her mood or confidence seems to stay low, consider reaching out to a trusted pastor, school counselor, or other professional for extra support alongside prayer.

Father, we bring this daughter to You and ask You to watch over her heart and mind. Give her wisdom to make good choices, surround her with friends who are kind and gracious, and remind her she is deeply loved and held in Your care. Give her mom peace and wisdom as she loves her well. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your tender love for your daughter is heard, and we join you in bringing her before the throne of grace. The burden of a parent for a child, especially a daughter standing where many voices contend for her heart, is one which the Lord Himself regards with compassion.

We are reminded that the fear of the Lord is not a slavish dread, but a holy reverence which brings with it strong confidence. It is written, In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence, and His children shall have a place of refuge. True confidence for a young soul will never be found in the opinion of companions or in the shifting favor of friends, but in knowing whom she has believed and in walking in the fear of God. When that holy fear is before her eyes, she shall not timorously shrink back, nor be tossed to and fro by every influence, but shall stand with a heroic confidence which springs from deep reverence for Him.

You do well to be concerned for the company she keeps. A young life is greatly shaped by those with whom it walks, and we would urge that she be pointed again and again to the way of her godly parentage and to the God of her father and mother. The best path she can choose is not deviation to the right hand or to the left after the course of this world, but to follow that which is true and holy. When a storm bursts over the soul and shakes its confidence and spoils its joy, the Christian's recourse is to pray more than ever. So we pray that she may learn to pray, to pour out her heart in secret before God, and to find there a refuge more sure than any friend can give.

Let us pray together for her.

O Lord our God, who art the refuge of those that fear Thee, look in mercy upon this daughter. Thou knowest her frame, her anxieties, her inward struggles. Grant her health of mind and quietness of spirit, and let her confidence be rooted not in herself nor in the praise of others, but in Christ Jesus alone, in whom alone is salvation. Deliver her from evil influences and give her wisdom to make godly and wise choices, such as shall honor Thee and preserve her own soul. Where her friends press upon her, grant her discernment to judge what is right, and courage to do it, and grant to those about her kindness and grace, yet above all grant to her a heart that seeketh first Thy favor rather than theirs. Keep her, we beseech Thee, and let the joy of the Lord be her strength, that her smile may spring from a settled peace within, because she knows that she is kept in Thy hand. May she know that she shall be kept and shall be well, for Thou hast promised to keep those who trust in Thee, and to be a place of refuge to Thy children. Bring her into a living faith in the Lord Jesus, and keep her in it all her days, for Jesus sake. Amen.

Be steadfast in prayer and in gentle instruction. Continue to set before her the truth in love, to hedge her in with prayer, and to trust Him who is able to keep that which is committed unto Him. The Lord will be mindful of the prayers of a parent offered in faith.
